After today, my kiddos are off for their winter break until next year and I AM PUMPED. We have school parties today and then after that…IT’S BREAK TIME!
I have mixed emotions right now…I’m so happy that it’s close to Christmas and I’m also sad that it’s close to Christmas. #happenseveryyear
I posted this picture on Instagram last Friday of Ashley and me. A little over a year ago, I posted about Ashby’s Klippel-Trenaunay Syndrome on Instagram and someone tagged Ashley on there because her daughter has it too. Well, I reached out to her via IG and now, we’re such good friends. Isn’t social media cool? It connects us with people we would otherwise never meet. Over this last year, it has been such a blessing to discuss KTS with another mama of a small little girl. We encourage, educate, support, love and motivate each other and I am so blessed by it.
Soft, comfy, cute…yeah, that’s my perfect kind of sweater. Annnnnd…we’re about to go on a couple of cold weather trips, so I bought some Sorel boots to wear and when it got cold here last weekend, I wore them and they were not only extremely warm, but comfy too! Plus, that’s that tank under my sweater that I keep talking about. It comes in a gazillion colors and is reversible (the neckline can be rounded or v-neck). Sweater, tank, boots and very cute two year old photo bomber. I had it all that day 😉 .
On Wednesday night, we had our Sunday school class Christmas party and Andrea was in the charge of the games. When I walked in, she said “oh good, you’re wearing pants”. You know you’re about to have a physical game when someone is happy to see you have pants on ;).
…I mean…one of my favorites this week was definitely pushing an ornament across the floor with my nose in a race against my husband ;). Such a fun night!
I gave myself a secret Santa gift…
…I bought myself a new robe (from the same people who make the blardigan!). Because…I love robes. I love being warm and cozy in the morning. And if it were socially acceptable, I would never take it off :). And my pajamas are HERE.
And because we’re entering into our last full week before Christmas…
…I’m re-posting my 25 Days of Christmas Treats PLUS adding a few new ones. I don’t know about you…but my week is full of baking and prepping for the big day! To see my festive, easy and yummy recipes, click HERE.
Okay, that wraps up my favorites for the week! I’m off to a first and second grade Christmas party now. Happy Friday to YOU!
