Easter, Easter, Easter!

Whoa!  It’s a post with a ton of pictures from Easter.  Enjoy 🙂 .

I took like 12 pictures of these three in that pose and this was the best one. #totalpicturefail

On Saturday, we went to our church’s Eggstravaganza and had the BEST time!  There was so much to do there!

The girls checked out the petting zoo while Smith was going through an obstacle course.

Sisters 🙂

We found Smith and took a group pic.

Then, we waited in line for one of the bounce houses.  They were letting four kids at a time go in…which worked out perfectly for our crew.

Madeley didn’t know what to think of her first snow cone!

Later, it was time for the egg hunt.  My kids were primed and ready to go!

Madeley was trying to put this flower in her hair.  Ha!

The next day was Easter!!  We woke up and headed out for church.

I told them to make silly faces.  Aren’t they all so funny?!  They were cracking me up!

More silly faces!!

Followed by a normal face :).

And on Instagram, several people wanted to know the kids’ outfit deets…so here you go:

Kensington’s dress/Ashby’s dress/Madeley’s dress/Smith’s shirt/Kensington’s sandals/Little girls’ shoes

One big family selfie before church!

And then after church, we did something new this year!  My family hosted Easter for my mom’s side of the family.  Everyone came over our direction and first we ate, then we came back to our house.

Madeley might need to give Samuel some personal space.  (Please note, they’re the same size.  He’s 9 months and she’s 2.5.)

Lovie and Papa Jay gained two extra grandkids between last year and this year!

Papa Jay loves his littlest girls!

After lunch, we attempted some pictures.

The Shull six!

(Side note, that is the dress I bought last spring to wear in NYC.  Guess what? It’s still in stock!  The green is sold out but it comes in many other colors!!)

It’s a tradition in our family that the grandparents always do the kids’ Easter baskets.  So, here is Madeley with her very first Easter basket…

…she was like “whoa!”.

It was the perfect weather to enjoy Easter outside.

Bubbles make us happy!

Samuel and his duck. Ha!  That sweet boy!

My mom has been giving Kensington these little mice in matchboxes for holidays recently and she ADORES them!

Sweet girl!

Kensington and Ashby are blowing bubbles and Smith is shooting off his new toy.  See the green disk in the air?

Blowing bubbles with Grandmother.

A pic of our crew on the patio.  We had such a fun time!

We let the little girls get a head start on the egg hunt.  It didn’t take Madeley long to figure this game out :)!

And the big kids were off!

Showing me her eggs :).

After our egg hunt, we let the kids swim (Andrew had heated the pool so that it wasn’t freezing).  They swam until bedtime!

And one last pic, we ended the night with the Slaughter five coming over to swim and eat dinner with my family.  It’s always so much fun having them around for holidays too!

That was our Easter!  I hope you had a nice day too!

    • Mix and Match Mama April 19, 2017 at 7:14 am

I don’t remember exactly where it’s from (I’ll ask Andrew!), but yes, it’s weathered very well and we love it!

    Happy Easter season to y’all

Also, Your backyard is absolutely beautiful. We are looking to put in an outdoor kitchen and I love your stonework. Not sure if you had it done or purchased the house lith it there already, but by chance would you know the names of the stone around th epool and the one used on the stairs? Thanks!! Glad you enjoyed your Easter!

    • Mix and Match Mama April 19, 2017 at 11:40 am

Travertine is around the pool and a stone called Granbury is on the stairs :).

  • Kayla B April 19, 2017 at 10:22 am

Love these!! Question: Are you and Andrew introverts or extroverts?? Even my extroverted self would have been wiped after a day with that many people 🙂

    • Mix and Match Mama April 19, 2017 at 11:39 am

      Ha! We’re very much extroverts!!

  • Carly April 19, 2017 at 11:34 am

Look at Kensington holding Madeley! Too. Cute. What a fun, blessed weekend with family.

  • Kim April 19, 2017 at 11:59 am

Does the Easter bunny visit your house if the grandparents make the Easter baskets?

    • Mix and Match Mama April 19, 2017 at 12:31 pm

No, the adults hide the eggs. We just never did the whole Easter Bunny thing. My kids believe in Santa and the tooth fairy (so we’re not opposed!), we just never did the Easter Bunny.

  • Debby April 19, 2017 at 12:07 pm

I would love to know here your mother bought the matchbox mice. They are too precious and my granddaughter would love them.

  • Kerri April 19, 2017 at 12:23 pm

Thanks for sharing! Love to see how people celebrate holidays! I had 45 for Easter Brunch, that’s what happens in big families, which meant 15 kids, with 500 Easter Eggs! Two questions, where are those little mice from in the box, my daughter would love them. And where is that green and white dress that Kensington is wearing in that picture, from? Your family is so sweet and I love the pics with their cousin Samuel!

    • Mix and Match Mama April 19, 2017 at 12:30 pm

She’s wearing a swim coverup from Boden last year. And my mom bought them online. I bet if you googled them, you would find them!

  • Lindsay @ Lindsay's Sweet World April 19, 2017 at 12:29 pm

That picture of your parents with all of the grandkids just melted my heart. I know that they are so thankful for each and every one of them! And that little Samuel… I swear I could just eat him up!!

  • Katherine Darlington April 19, 2017 at 2:11 pm

I read your blog on Thursday and you mentioned a favorite foundation. I went to try it but instead I bought this Dior Airflash foundation & it’s so amazing. I just read the reviews and they are amazing. You should try it!

  • Tracy April 19, 2017 at 2:46 pm

You have a beautiful family. And your yard & patio are gorgeous! Looks like a fabulous Easter celebration. 🙂

  • Olivia April 19, 2017 at 3:39 pm

Hi there I have a question! I noticed that Ashby and Madeley match cloths but not Kensington. Does she not like matching with them anymore?

    • Mix and Match Mama April 20, 2017 at 5:02 am

Sometimes, she does and sometimes, she doesn’t. It kind of depends on her mood.

  • Kristine April 19, 2017 at 4:59 pm

Love the Mice in the Matchbox!! Does Smith have a special collectible? Looking for ideas for something for my new nephew to start a collection with!!

    • Mix and Match Mama April 20, 2017 at 5:01 am

Right now, he’s all about coins! He’s collected the 50 state coins and now, he’s working on the 50 national parks.

It’s from Boden but last summer.

  • Jaren April 20, 2017 at 7:28 am

What a sweet tradition! The silly face pic is my favorite! Love your pool and patio. I want a pool so badly, but I am so scared to get one with my youngest being only 2. I know there are certain safety features (alarms and such) you can get. What do you have or maybe you can do a post on this one day??

    • Mix and Match Mama April 20, 2017 at 7:41 am

That’s a great post idea, Jaren!!
