Uniquely J Giveaway!!

Happy Tuesday, friends!

Okay, I’m doing something different today.

Are you game?

Here it goes: I get emails EVERY SINGLE DAY about me sponsoring posts and products and because I want this to be a very organic and genuine space, I always decline (unless it’s for something I really have been using/love/is a part of my every day life), so when I got this email asking me to talk about the new Uniquely J products off of this website called Jet.com, I deleted it.  But I could not stop thinking about it.  The rest of the day, it kept popping up in my head, so I pulled it back out of my “trash” and really looked at their website.  Have you heard of Jet.com?  I hadn’t.  So, I looked around and thought…okay, we might be able to do something here.  I reached out to the folks there and told them I wanted to buy the new products myself to see if I really liked them (use my own money verses them sending me products)…and if I did, I would talk about them, but only if I could offer a giveaway to my readers (they’re not sponsoring the giveaway, I just wanted to do it myself if I loved the products).  They said okay…PLUS, they said they’d offer my readers a PROMO CODE for their site.

So…I went online and bought four things from their new Uniquely J brand.  They arrived (very neatly packaged, I might add!), and we loved them!  So today, I’m sharing them with you.  Want to know what it is?  I bought sauces and coffee :).

Okay, so this website has more than food…they have all natural cleaners, dye-free soaps, BPA-free sandwich bags and paper products, and so many other products/eatables all sustainably sourced at very low prices.  I don’t know?  I just thought this holiday season there might be several of you looking for products like this, so I gave it a try.  And I was very pleased.  So this is what I bought online (by the way, you get free shipping if you spend $35)…

Sweet & Tangy Barbecue Sauce

Organic Mild Salsa

Organic Tomato Basil Sauce

And French Roast Coffee

Now, I went back and ordered some of these new snacks for my kids, for me to eat with my coffee and for little nibbles this Thanksgiving.  I would have had them already here to show you, but they just came out a few days ago (click on the image to open it up)…

They look yummy, right?!

So far, we’ve eaten the salsa with chips, I’ve made me cups and cups of the coffee (they come in pods or you can buy it in bags) and I took the lid off of the spaghetti sauce to taste it, but I’m going to use it for a recipe later this week when I make my Mushroom Spaghetti Casserole.  It was super easy to use the barbecue sauce.  I made us BBQ Pork Enchiladas.  Here is the easy little recipe…

BBQ Pork Enchiladas

This recipe serves four.

Shopping List
about a pound of Andrea’s BBQ Pulled Pork (substitute Uniquely J’s Sweet & Tangy Barbecue Sauce in the recipe!)
2 (10 oz) cans of enchilada sauce, divided
1 (4 oz) can of chopped green chiles
about 2 cups of shredded Pepper Jack cheese, reserve some for garnish
8 flour tortillas
cilantro to garnish

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease an 8×8 baking dish.  Set aside.

In a mixing bowl, toss together Andrea’s Pulled Pork with one can of enchilada sauce, your chopped green chiles and 1½ cups of shredded pepper jack cheese.  Now, take each tortilla and spoon some of this BBQ mixture down across the center of each one.  Roll up each tortilla and place it seam side down in your baking dish.  Once all of the enchiladas have been rolled up and placed inside, pour your second can of enchilada sauce down over the tops of them and sprinkle over your remaining pepper jack cheese.

Place your baking dish in the oven and bake about 20 minutes or until the edges of the enchiladas are nice and browned and the sauce is bubbly.  Remove from oven and serve with a garnish cilantro.

These were delicious!!  The sauce was perfect and paired perfectly with the pulled pork.  This was a winning recipe over at our house!!

I’ll have to check out their website! And thank you for the spaghetti casserole recipe! Spaghetti was on my calendar for tonight but with basketball practice I couldn’t figure out how to have it ready for everyone. This is perfect!! 🙂

  • Elspeth Mizner November 14, 2017 at 5:34 am

Looks good. I’ll check out their website

  • Brenda November 14, 2017 at 5:42 am

Jet.com is an online company owned by Walmart. I haven’t tried their products yet. Thanks for the review – i think I’ll have to check out their website!

  • Narci November 14, 2017 at 5:47 am

I totally need to check this out! Those snacks look so tasty, and I can’t wait to try that BBQ sauce!

  • Sheaffer Sims November 14, 2017 at 5:53 am

Well, this looks like a cool service! And now I want enchiladas for breakfast.

  • Lizzie @ This Happy Life November 14, 2017 at 6:25 am

I have heard of Jet before, they sometimes have awesome deal son kid toys!! Those enchiladas look so good!

  • Erika Slaughter November 14, 2017 at 6:28 am

I think I liked this something different kind of day! I mean you featured a new company, enchiladas, and are hosting a GIVEAWAY?! 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻

  • Emily Hobbs November 14, 2017 at 6:52 am

You can buy almost anything on Jet, like Amazon! But you get free fast shipping without having to pay for Prime! I have started almost exclusively buying my toiletries and stuff there. I order one morning and they are there the next day. I also bought a ton of party supplies for my friend’s bachelorette party on Jet and love them. And they sell Pioneer Woman stuff and other GreatValue and Kirkland brand products too!

  • Chelsea Barnhart November 14, 2017 at 6:53 am

I used Andrea’s pulled pork recipe last year for a family get together! It was such a hit that my mom and aunt have both made it multiple times since! 👏🏻👏🏻

  • Loren November 14, 2017 at 6:59 am

I came across JET.COM when searching for a flat iron for my hair. They had it cheaper than Ulta and anywhere else I looked plus offered me a great coupon. I was really happy shopping with them.

  • Jenny November 14, 2017 at 7:02 am

What did you think of the actual products? Did they taste good? All you said was that you were pleased, but that seemed to be in reference to the service.

    • Mix and Match Mama November 14, 2017 at 7:07 am

Yes! They were fantastic! I tried basics because I thought that was more broad and more people would be interested in that than something specific that would only pertain to my family. The coffee and all three sauces were delicious! I already ordered the snacks plus a bottle of olive oil. Based on what I’ve already tried, I was eager to shop there again.

  • Emily Harrison November 14, 2017 at 7:04 am

I have used Jet some. I always open my Ibotta app first to get some extra cash back before shopping on their website. I haven’t tried this line though.

  • Melissa v November 14, 2017 at 7:05 am

Lol was it necessary to include the first sentence? Brag much? 🙂

    • Mix and Match Mama November 14, 2017 at 7:17 am

Actually, yes, I thought the first sentence was really important. I think it’s important for my readers to know this wasn’t the one and only brand to reach out to me and I took it just because. I want you guys to know I really and truly only want this to be a place where I share exactly what I love and not what someone wants to pay me for. It’s not bragging…it’s an honest statement because I did not want to do this if it wasn’t genuine.

      • Jenna November 14, 2017 at 8:03 am

Appreciated the way you went about this! It DOES mean more that you tested the products using your own money and chose this one out of many. I always love the thought you put into things like this, it makes your opinions about it even that more meaningful! I had never heard of this company either so it was interesting to take a look at it! Thank you for mentioning it to us! 🙂

      • Anna November 14, 2017 at 8:11 am

And we appreciate that! It’s nice to know what you enjoy, without the benefits. Which either way is understanding, this is a business!

      • Kris November 14, 2017 at 8:24 am

I love your heart, Shay! Thank you for being upfront and honest.

      • Leah Reinemund November 14, 2017 at 8:30 am

Thank you for being a light in this sometimes dark world. Jesus shines through you, friend!

        • Melissa November 14, 2017 at 8:41 pm

Exactly! So many people don’t realize she is a light

      • Alicia Wooken November 14, 2017 at 9:04 am

Some people…thank you! I love that you actually use and love the products you post. I feel confident when I buy items you enjoy! Just bought my hubs the Black Jack cleanser that you talked about not too long ago and I love it!

      • Tina November 15, 2017 at 9:25 am

Not for a second did I think you were bragging. I’ve been reading your blog for 5 or 6 years now and your suggestions are always right on point…for this very reason, I’m sure. My family and I visited the Dallas/McKinney area this year and I referred to your blog for recommendations. Before the trip started, my husband was rolling his eyes and annoyed that I kept saying, “Shay says…” and taking advice from “some blogger”….but before long he was saying, “look and see what she says about this…”.😉

    • Laura November 14, 2017 at 7:48 am

Wow…you handled a nasty statement question with class. Which I read your blog every morning. It is exactly as you hope…a little piece of the Internet that is genuine and honest.

      • Michelle O November 14, 2017 at 9:37 am

I agree with Laura’s whole comment!!

    • Chrystianne Santos November 14, 2017 at 11:30 am

As a daily and devoted reader, I definitely did not take it as bragging. Her statement helped me understand how seriously she takes choosing or not choosing to support brands or designers.

  • kellie carrara November 14, 2017 at 7:47 am

Um, yum! These sound amazing…and if you’re using them and not being gifted to use them, I’m way more likely to try! I appreciate that…just like those fab old navy jeans you told me about that I had to order and now can’t stop wearing. And a black Nordstrom dress you told me about um, 2 years ago or something, that I’m actually wearing today.
    I love…and TRUST…your recommendations!

    • Kaci November 14, 2017 at 8:28 am

Me too. Her opinions have never steered me wrong!

  • April Bass November 14, 2017 at 8:05 am

Have never heard of the website or brand before. Just took a quick look – I’m impressed with the prices! I’m definitely going to have to order some things. Thanks for sharing!

  • Laura M Stephens November 14, 2017 at 8:11 am

Agree, the sauces look delicious. Interesting website, I would love to give it try with a free gift card if you choose me.

  • Meghan November 14, 2017 at 8:23 am

Will you give us an update on your purchases from Gap??

    • Mix and Match Mama November 14, 2017 at 11:30 am

I didn’t keep anything. Boo. Come on, Gap!

      • Whitney Pegram November 14, 2017 at 1:22 pm

Right!?! But Old Navy is on point this year!!!

  • Leah Reinemund November 14, 2017 at 8:28 am

I LOVE Jet.com….we use them to order Pellegrino for work. They ALWAYS arrive about a day after we order them and you’re right they are so neatly packaged which is good since Pellegrino is glass 🙂

  • Angelique Dale November 14, 2017 at 8:39 am

I’ve heard of jet.com but since I don’t know anyone personally that has used it I’ve steered away. Not you’ve pushed me to check it out again. I love the Uniquely J packaging (which isn’t important but fun nonetheless). 😘. And I must add that I appreciate you clarifying that you don’t product push anything that is sent your way. Anyone with a blog knows how incessant those requests are and with the huge following of your blog I can only imagine how many requests you get. Thanks for being picky about what you promote – it’s why we all live your honest opinions!

  • Kathy L November 14, 2017 at 8:46 am

Jet sounds pretty great, and this is a fun giveaway! Thanks for checking the company out first for us. 😉

  • Keisha M Dawson November 14, 2017 at 8:57 am

This website has popped up in various places, and I never gave it much thought. Thanks for highlighting the things you like. I’ll definitely take a look around!

  • ColleenB.~Texas November 14, 2017 at 8:57 am

Never heard of this company. Looks like they have some wonderful items just from what I have seen.
Thank you so much for this giveaway opportunity

  • jaimie November 14, 2017 at 8:59 am

Thanks for sharing – I’ve heard of Jet but never Uniquely J! You are so transparent, it is so refreshing! I love all of your recos and know you only share those things you truly believe in! Keep doing what you’re doing, Shay!! xoxoxo

  • Tiffany B November 14, 2017 at 9:04 am

One of the many reasons I enjoy your blog so much is because it is so light on the sponsored posts.

  • Anna S November 14, 2017 at 9:51 am

I love that your blog isn’t overly sponsored and the items you do talk about are things you already use in your life…so it doesn’t even feel like it’s sponsored. I love your posts about your finds at Nordstrom. I get overwhelmed by the site so it’s nice to have someone with a similar style, filter through the pages for me. 😉 I like how you handled this sponsor request- thanks for sharing! I have never heard of Jet and will take a look now. 🙂

  • faith m heimbrodt November 14, 2017 at 10:38 am

I use Jet.com and have been very happy with my purchases. I have never seen these items and will have to check them out!

  • Sandi November 14, 2017 at 11:41 am

And this is why you are my favorite blogger 🙂 I have bought so many things that you recommend because I know you actually liked the items. Thanks Shay!

  • Kasey November 14, 2017 at 11:47 am

Your hair looks gorgeous! Can you share again what you are using and how you styled it! I love!

  • Linda Grubbs November 14, 2017 at 1:39 pm

You are one classy girl! You handled a nasty comment very kindly. (I wanted to yell at her!!)
Thanks for always being genuine. I appreciate you!!

  • Sascha November 14, 2017 at 1:49 pm

I love jet.com and have shopped from them for a few years. I use them almost exclusively – great prices, selection and fast/free shipping over $35. I can also order any Costco non-perishable items on their site. Their customer service is AMAZING! I haven’t tried their new privately labeled but am curious. Walmart bought Jet.com last year so I wonder if it’s walmart’s already in-existence product with the jet label?

  • Stephanie November 14, 2017 at 2:11 pm

Thank you so much for keeping your blog as organic as possible. My blog reader and IG feed are being consumed with other users promoting other products for the sake of getting additional followers or compensation. Have a great day!

  • Amanda @ That Inspired Chick November 14, 2017 at 7:07 pm

Another website to make my life more efficient?! Yes, please!!

  • Lois November 14, 2017 at 8:52 pm

Shay, I’m real sorry another person felt comfortable posting that nasty comment. It made me cry. You seem to always have our best interests in your heart & are so kind & generous; I don’t understand how anyone could treat you that way. Don’t let such ugliness discourage you; we all enjoy your kind sharing with us SO much! I’ll continue praying for you as you spread God’s love through your blog.

  • Angela Ellingson November 14, 2017 at 11:41 pm

This was a random surprise! I’ve been meaning to find BBQ sauce without high fructose corn syrup. Seems like a great brand. Going to try several products. Just placed my order!

  • Nikki November 15, 2017 at 4:34 am
