Red, White & Blueberry Mini Trifles

Description

Should you be looking to add a little RED, WHITE & BLUE into your May, I took my PATRIOTIC TRIFLE RECIPE and made it mini.

Because mini things are just super cute.

Whether you make one large trifle or a bunch of minis, this recipe is simple, great for making ahead, an easy one for entertaining, and delicious too.

Ingredients

  • 1 large (5 oz) instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 (12 oz) Cool Whip, thawed
  • 1 (8 oz) container of sour cream
  • 1 angel food cake, cut into pieces (buy one at the bakery!)
  • About 2 cups of fresh strawberries, sliced
  • About one cup of blueberries

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine dry pudding mix, condensed milk, and water with a whisk.  Whisk about two minutes and then refrigerate five more minutes.
  2. Remove from fridge and stir in Cool Whip and sour cream until smooth.
  3. In your mini jars, layer angel food cake across the bottom, add a layer of strawberry slices and a few blueberries over the cake then add 1/3 of your pudding mixture.  Repeat twice ending with a bit of Cool Whip.
  4. Screw your lids on and refrigerate at least 4 hours up to two days before serving.

Notes

I used the little 4 oz jars, but you can certainly use larger ones.  You cannot mess it up.  It’s easy and delicious!
