Because mini things are just super cute.
Whether you make one large trifle or a bunch of minis, this recipe is simple, great for making ahead, an easy one for entertaining, and delicious too.
Happy Red, White, & Blue season! xx
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large (5 oz) instant vanilla pudding
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- ½ cup water
- 1 (12 oz) Cool Whip, thawed
- 1 (8 oz) container of sour cream
- 1 angel food cake, cut into pieces (buy one at the bakery!)
- About 2 cups of fresh strawberries, sliced
- About one cup of blueberries
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine dry pudding mix, condensed milk, and water with a whisk. Whisk about two minutes and then refrigerate five more minutes.
- Remove from fridge and stir in Cool Whip and sour cream until smooth.
- In your mini jars, layer angel food cake across the bottom, add a layer of strawberry slices and a few blueberries over the cake then add 1/3 of your pudding mixture. Repeat twice ending with a bit of Cool Whip.
- Screw your lids on and refrigerate at least 4 hours up to two days before serving.
Notes
I used the little 4 oz jars, but you can certainly use larger ones. You cannot mess it up. It’s easy and delicious!
