Description

Whether you make these for a holiday appetizer, light lunch or delicious breakfast, they will be gone in a flash!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (17 oz) box of puff pastry sheets (from the freezer department, I use Pepperidge Farm)
  • 1 jar of pepper jelly (we use Trader Joe’s)
  • 8 slices of really great ham (I use Boar’s Head Sun Dried Tomato Ham)
  • 8 slices of sharp cheddar cheese (I used a white cheddar)
  • about 8 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly spray with Pam.  Set aside.
  3. Make sure your puff pastry sheets have come to room temp per box directions.
  4. On your counter, open and lay out both puff pastry sheets.  Spoon pepper jelly down the center of each puff pastry (enough to cover but you might not need the entire jar).  Next, lay four slices of ham down the center of each one.  Next, top ham with four slices of cheddar down the center and then finally, sprinkle chopped green onions and sprinkle them down the center of each puff pastry sheet.
  5. Roll the puff pastry sheet into a log starting with the left side, rolling across the middle (where your filling is) and then rolling to the right.  Your puff pastry should now be in a log.  Press the seam down to make sure it doesn’t come a part.
  6. Slice each log into about 7 pieces and then lay each pinwheel piece flat on your prepped baking sheet.
  7. Bake pinwheels about 8 to 10 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and serve immediately.

Notes

These can be mixed and matched a million different ways!  You can also prep them the day before, let them hang out in the fridge and then bake them the following day.
