Jalapeno Cheddar Stuffed Burgers

Description

If you like BIG flavor too, my JALAPENO CHEDDAR STUFFED BURGERS are for you.  Use as much or as little chopped jalapeno as you like when building your patties.  You control the heat!  We topped ours with EASY GUACAMOLE but you can do what works for you (we basically eat guac on everything around here).  Enjoy!


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of ground beef
  • about 2 tablespoons of your favorite steak seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (or more if you want them extra cheesy!)
  • as much or as little chopped deli-style jarred jalapenos, chopped (plus extra to garnish)
  • 4 burger buns
  • Guacamole to garnish, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat your outdoor grill or indoor grill pan over medium-high heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine your ground beef, steak seasoning together, shredded cheddar and chopped jalapeno peppers.
  3. Divide this mixture into four sections and make four patties (make sure to press down each patty a little in the center to avoid the “burger bulge” when they grill).
  4. Add your burger patties to the grill and begin grilling (we do about 6 minutes or so each side).  Your cheese will melt right inside your burger patties.
  5. Next, it’s time to assemble! Bun plus your burger patty, some guacamole and a few extra peppers to garnish.

Notes

I always have a jar of the deli-style jalapeno peppers on hand.  This is what I use for these burgers.
