Description

You guys, over 10 years ago, I shared this super simple mix and match cobbler recipe my mom shared with me.  This is truly the EASIEST cobbler recipe you’ll find…it only has FIVE ingredients!  I have made this more times than I could ever count over the years.  It’s just EASY and always, always pleases.  My mom isn’t an apple person, so she always makes hers with blackberries, peaches or cherries…but we are apple people, so we often make ours apple.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (21 oz) can of your favorite pie filling (apple, cherry, peach, etc) or 3 cups of your favorite frozen fruit
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup of melted butter (my mom uses 3/4 cup)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Place your pie filling (or frozen berries) across the bottom of a lightly greased 8×8 inch baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar and egg with a wooden spoon until crumbly.  Sprinkle flour mixture down over your pie filling.
  • Next, pour melted butter over everything.
  • Bake about 40 minutes or until browned and bubbly.
  • Remove from oven and allow to sit about five minutes before serving.

Notes

Mix and match this a million different ways!  Use frozen berries or peaches instead of pie filling for a simple swap.
