There are few things I like better than a salty-sweet combination. I thought adding pretzel pieces and M&Ms into some frosting would really give a bundt cake a little texture, crunch, salty and sweet. My kids thought this bundt cake was so good too! I couldn’t keep little hands out of the Pretzel-M&M frosting!
Shopping List
1 box of white cake mix
2 small boxes of instant vanilla pudding
1/2 cup of veggie oil
1 1/4 cups of water
4 eggs
1 can vanilla frosting
2 cups pretzels, chopped
2 cups M&Ms
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Grease (I use Pam) a 10 inch bundt pan or 12 mini bundt pans.
In mixing bowl, combine cake mix, puddings, oil, water and eggs with electric mixer. Pour into prepared bundt pan.
Bake 40-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean for a regular sized bundt pan and 16-18 minutes for a mini bundt pan.
Let cake rest on counter in pan 10 minutes. Then, invert cake onto serving plate to finish cooling.
To make the frosting, pour store bought vanilla frosting into a bowl. Stir in 1 1/2 cups of pretzel bits and 1 1/2 cups of M&Ms into the frosting. Frost over cooled cake and garnish with remaining pretzel and M&Ms.
This cake just says “eat with your kids” to me. We sat on the patio, enjoyed the nice weather and ate some salty-sweet bundt cake together. You should too :).
