We are really enjoying our summer this year! I think a big part of it is because my kids are older now and they understand not being in school, staying up late and swimming every day. It has just been so much fun! (For me, Andrew is still hard at work…poor Andrew…his summer days are not like mine!)
This week, we have Vacation Bible School (VBS), so added fun for all! Here are some quick pics from this last weekend…
Smith discovered tetherball…he has that Andrew Shull intensity already when he plays sports!
This is Smith’s “don’t talk to me while I’m eating my cupcake” face. I get the same face when I eat a cupcake!
My dad and I showed up to dinner on Saturday night both wearing mint shorts…and neither of us wearing something Red Sox. You’re shocked, right? (And PS: right now, my shorts are 25% off! And they come in so many fun colors!)
Miss Curly K before church on Sunday. Love her! (And I love sponge rollers!)
And make sure you check out Bundt Cake #94 today! It’s fun, flavorful and fabulous!
Have a great Monday!

Smith eating his cupcake is straight up HILARIOUS. He's super intense. 🙂 And K looks GORGEOUS in that picture!

I am so happy that when I accidentally wake up at 6, I know you have already been up and I have something new to read :). Thanks for being a great example of a consistent writer!

The coral top is from the fall at Old Navy. 🙂

Well…I'm like Ginny! So fun to have your blog to read the one time I get up early (still jet laggin')! I needed to tell you that I made a "midnight run" to two grocery stores last night (o.k. it was just 8:00–but that's late for me!) looking for Lemon Bliss ice cream. Almost hysterical that neither had it! I already have my Covergirl jumbo gloss balm, (in apricot!) and I will be searching out the Mio blueberry lemonade today. Keep the hints coming! "You light up my life!"

Love that cupcake face! And love your outfit!! Oh my gosh… sponge rollers. My hair was super short as a child (probably why I insist on having long hair as an adult) and my mom would put sponge rollers in my hair, but it just didn't have the right effect because it was SO short. Yikes! Sweet K looks beautiful with hers!! 🙂

You probably have every color, but Kohls has shorts that look exactly the same in TONS of colors for $15 (regular $30). I got turquoise and yellow. It's the "So" brand. They have a little stretch in them which I love!!! They're in the juniors dept. They're my new favorite short summer shorts! Anyway, thought I would share.

You dad is one styling guy! And I'm impressed that you still get up so early when the kids are off for the summer. My lazy butt is enjoying my extra hour of sleep. 🙂

Hi Shay, love the family pics and that coral peasant top. I have to ask…where did you get it and is it from this season? thx.

Do you see your parents every weekend? That is so sweet! It seems like you and Andrew have a great relationship with them 🙂

I wonder how many of us make the same cupcake face without knowing it 🙂 The only things missing from the picture of you and your dad are whatever fabulous wedges you were wearing that day (can we guess?!?).
Lovin' your summer!
XOXO

I agree that I love the fact that I can read a new post every morning before work. It always makes me smile in the morning 🙂
Love your consistency!

Smith's face! Such intensity! I can totally relate! 😉
I have so many memories of sponge rollers from cheer competitions. Now, I'm thinking it's time to buy some for my girls!

Is the picture with you and your Dad, in downtown McKinney?

Smith gets awesome intensity from his daddy (sports) AND his mama (cupcakes)! Both are amazing passions in life. 🙂
I agree that summer gets more amazing every year. If you actually get to experience summer, that is. My children have finally started begging to live in America some day, and I don't blame them one little bit.

Good word…I don't think it's possible for your kiddos to be ANY cuter! Love that Smith is intense like his daddy…future NFL'er? 🙂
