I found a recipe for Apple Cinnamon Pull-Apart Bread in my Better Homes and Garden Fall Baking magazine and it sounded delicious…but kind of complicated. Soooooo…I decided to simplify things. And it was yummy! Andrew and I were eating it like our ship was going down!
Shopping List
1 can of refrigerated biscuits (I used Grands)
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
2 apples, thinly sliced (you probably won’t use all of your apple pieces)
1/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts (optional)
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons cream cheese, at room temperature
splash of milk
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Spray a loaf pan with Pam and set aside.
Cut biscuits in half. In a small bowl, combine your sugar and cinnamon together. Toss biscuits in sugar mixture to coat.
Arrange slices of biscuits and slices of apple in your loaf pan alternating between (see pic below).
Sprinkle any remaining sugar down over the top of your bread (see pic below).
Sprinkle walnuts down over the top and place your butter on top too (see pic below).
Bake 25 minutes or until edges are brown. Remove from oven and let rest in pan 5 minutes before removing from loaf pan by inverting it on to a platter.
While the bread is cooling, make your icing. Combine cream cheese, milk and powdered sugar in a small bowl. Whisk in more powdered sugar if the icing is too thin and more milk if it’s too thick. Drizzle icing down over cooled bread.
The apples were delicious in this bread! We were in heaven over at our house!
Happy eating!

Sounds delish! Do you cut the biscuits in half to make semicircles or in half to make skinnier buscuits?

I cut them in half to make semi-circles but you could probably do it either way!

This is what I love about you. You can take something as complicated as a bread and simplify it with Grands! I can't wait to try this for fall.

What size can do you use? The small or large? It looks still delicious! Thanks for sharing.

You can use whatever size biscuits you like! I used the Grands that had 10 biscuits inside.

I made this tonight for my family with apples picked from my parent's tree. My hubby and kiddos LOVED it. Thanks so much for the fun, easy Fall dessert recipe. Yummy!

I made this over the weekend and it was AMAZING! I ran into a minor problem of my bread not cooking so I thought I would mention that if anyone else has this, here is what worked for me! Increase your oven temp to 375 degrees and bake the bread for almost 30 minutes. I linked this website in my new blog if you would like to check it out!
Thanks again for all of the awesome recipes!
