Day 8: We went to the dentist for cleanings! It was cold and rainy…but I had a list of errands to run after we were done. When we got in the car, I told the kids where we needed to go and Kensington said, “Can we just go home and get cozy by the fire instead?”. And we did. Because sometimes, it takes a five year old to tell you to slow down and just do nothing.
Day 9: Still raining! Under our umbrellas, we took a picture of our mother and daughter Wellie feet :).
Day 10: I love him so much 🙂
Day 11: We spent the day in Andrew’s old pickup! We took this picture as we were all piling out to go inside Starbucks Andrew just loves his old truck…so occasionally, we ride around in it :).
Day 12: Cousins! I love these three kiddos!
Day 13: I did some grocery shopping with the Mix and Match Daughter! She’s my little foodie :).
Day 14: I didn’t want to drop them off at school on this day! I really wanted to keep them and just have fun. Love hanging out with these kids!
And if you think taking pictures with my kids is simple…here you go…
…sit still and smile is apparently not an easy thing to do!
And one final picture…I came home the other night and found them all like this. Play room a mess, everyone tired, and even the dog was exhausted…with her head on a sword. These are my peeps.

Enjoy those cozy days by the fire while you can, mama! Life changes sooooo much when school begins. 🙁
Love the pic of Andrew and the kids in their natural environment. That's the scene at my house any evening I leave Nick with the girls!

Hi Shay! Love reading your blog. I've been meaning to stock up on tanks for a while now, and now seems like the perfect time with the sale! I was wondering if I should get a "tall" size for the tank so that it is long enough that I can layer it under clothing (I am 5'4").
Jaren says
Just wait until you are trying to get a good picture with 3 kids!
My house looks like that too when Daddy is home a few hours with the kids. But at least I got to be kid-free for a while and they don't seem unhappy, right?
Mix and Match Mama says
Hey Sydney! I'm 5'3" and the regular tanks are really long on me! I wear a tank every day under my clothes because they're so perfect for layering. I think a regular would fit fine but it you really want them long, order tall. 🙂

Love that Poppy Popsicle has her little head on the sword. So cute! And the picture of you with them at PreSchool was precious 🙂

Hi Shay! I really want to get those two sweaters from GAP, but I need to order them online because we don't have GAP in Sweden. So I'm just wondering which size you have them in? I want them to fit like they do on you – I don't like when sweaters are too loose fitting. I'm usually an S, but some sweaters I get in XS.
I hope that you can help me out 🙂
Mix and Match Mama says
I am wearing a small in the picture and it does fit loose (but I like that). I'm 5'3" and wearing a small! I hope this helps!

Shay, where did you get the cute booties you are wearing? I've been looking for some! 🙂
Mix and Match Mama says
They're Jessica Simpson's from Nordstrom…and are now sold out :(.

I'm so glad I found you! 🙂 I love your style. I'm a mom to a 1 year old… well, almost (on Tuesday). I'm freaking out!!! 🙂 I feel like now my style needs to be practical and I've lost my "cuteness". It's so nice to check your blog and find fun outfits that are still practical that I never would have been able to think of on my own! Keep doing what you are doing. Thank you! 🙂
