It’s my birthday!

So, I thought I could go all sentimental and talk about this past year.  Or I could get all deep and list 35 things I’ve learned in life. Or…I could partner with Nordstrom today and give away a big fat gift card.  Yeah, that’s the one that sounded like more fun to me too.  It’s my birthday giveaway!

I’m going to share a few of my favorite girly things from Nordstrom (I heart their women’s department!) today and then you’re going to enter to win a $500 Nordstrom gift card.  And then, we’re all going to celebrate, sound good?!

Remember last week when I said you should hurry and get this buffalo check scarf because it would be gone in minutes?  Well…the red and black is gone BUT you can still get the black and cream.  I loooove me an infinity scarf because you just wrap twice and they’re styled.  Easy peasy.  They actually had these scarves last year too (that’s when I bought mine), soooo hopefully, they’ll restock again this year.

Speaking of infinity scarves I love, this one here has kept me happy three years in a row.  It’s light, it looks like fall and it pretty much goes with everything.  Plaid for the win in the scarf department!

Gray jeans are my new favorite this season.  Last year, I wore my black ones just about every other day…but right now, I can’t seem to stop wearing my gray jeans.

And then when I want to wear basic denim…these AG distressed ones are my new jam.

Annnnd…I need to try on that dress in the background for you (actually, I need to find somewhere to go so I can wear it!) because I LOVE IT!  This will be my new go-to black dress for fall and winter just like that other Leith dress was my go-to for spring and summer.  It is super flattering and can totally be dressed up or down.  Plus, it’s only $58 and comes in two colors.

And because it’s almost holiday time, here are some other really cute party dresses for this upcoming season…

Annnnd…I couldn’t mention my favorite girly things from Nordstrom without mentioning my booties (which are pretty much in every pic above).  Can’t stop wearing them.  They’re comfy, they’re cute, they come in three colors and they let my toes show.  Win, win.

And last but certainly not least, LOOK AT MY NEW HOUSE SHOES!  Eeeks!  So, here’s the thing, you know how much I adore my other house shoes.  I wear them practically every second I’m not in real shoes.  Well, I started noticing when I picked my kids up from school that their super cute art teacher was wearing these house shoes in brown to school as real shoes.  She wears them with her ankle jeans and they’re so stinkin’ cute on her.  I looked them up to see what they were and found that one, they come in six different fun colors, two, they’re water resistant, so you can wear them out and they won’t get ruined, and three, they’re soooo comfy.  So, now, I’m wearing mine around the house all the time and I’m in love.  I may get wild one day and buy another pair to wear out of the house because I’m telling you…she’s adorable in her brown ones.

    Happy Birthday! I too ordered the same Ugg slip on slippers last year, like you. I have been really disappointed with the quality 🙁 I have holes in the fur and likely won’t get another year out of them. But! The ones you posted today are darling. I bought a pair from Target, similar look to your new purple ones, but a cognac color and wear them outside all the time. Minnetonka also makes fur lined ones that are much less than the Ugg ones.
