This right here…is like my new favorite thing. I am a huge fan of dips. I love dips, could make a meal out of a dip, can’t get enough DIPS. So, this year at Thanksgiving, along with our other food, I made this homemade Candied Jalapeno Bacon Pimento Cheese Dip…because I love candied jalapenos and bacon too 🙂 . This recipe was such a hit that it’s the one I turned in for my 8th Annual Recipe Exchange. My girlfriends love dips too 🙂 . Another great thing about this dip? You make it in advance, so it’s easy and no fuss for holiday entertaining. Make it, friends. You will LOVE it!
2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
½ cup mayonnaise
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
1 ½ tablespoons garlic powder
1 ½ tablespoons onion powder
salt and pepper
1 (4 oz) jar of pimentos, drained
1 cup candied jalapenos
8 slices of bacon, cooked to crisp and crumbled, reserve a few to garnish at the end
pita crackers for dipping
In a mixing bowl, beat together with an electric mixer your softened cream cheese along with the mayo, cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder and a big pinch of both salt and pepper. Mix until just incorporated. Next, stir in your pimentos and candied jalapenos along with your crispy bacon. Stir everything together and then cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours prior to serving along with an extra sprinkle of bacon crumbles on pita crackers.
That’s it! It’s creamy, a little spicy, crunchy and oh so perfect for any occasion.
