My Easy Air Fryer Potatoes are just that…EASY!
Sometimes we make them for breakfast and call them “breakfast potatoes” and other times, we make them for dinner and call them “homemade fries”. Either way, they’re DELISH!!
And they’re easy too 🙂 .
PrintEasy Air Fryer Potatoes
Description
Whether you make these potatoes for brunch or as a side dish, they’re the perfect little companion to whatever else is on your plate!
Ingredients
- about a pound of little potatoes (I always get the variety bag at my store so that there are purple ones in there too!), halved
- 1 onion, chopped
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- salt and pepper
Instructions
- Take your little potatoes and halve them (quarter them if they’re larger). Add them to the basket of your air fryer. Next, add your chopped onion inside the air fryer too.
- Drizzle EVOO all over the tops of your potatoes and your chopped onion. (We like a nice size drizzle…probably at least ¼ a cup.) Sprinkle a big pinch of both salt and pepper on top and stir once more.
- Shut your air fryer, set the temp to 400 degrees and the timer to 18 minutes.
- Once your air fryer is done, open and check to make sure your potatoes are tender enough. If so, remove and serve!
Notes
You can really use any potato you like, but we like the little variety bags our store sells. They’re each about a pound. I like to halve my potatoes so they cook up a little quicker. We always use a Kosher salt or sea salt when making these too.

This is my favorite food in the air fryer, so good! We love fried potatoes, and I don’t see any need to pan fry anymore. These are better!

I add Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning dry mix (gluten-free!) to the olive oil, pour over potatoes to coat thoroughly, then air fry! So, so, so good!

YUM!!!!

Which air fryer do you have? So many of the reviews say that the air fryer causes a smell like burning rubber, so I want to make sure that I get a good one.

Ours is fantastic! You can read all about it here: https://mixandmatchmama.com/2020/07/airfryer-review-part-2/

have you tried making a gluten free mac and cheese? What pasta do you use? With the trader joe’s fresh gluten free pasta does the pasta get soggy when you make it? I’m planning to make your Mac and Trees soon but G free!
Mix and Match Mama says
I have! I actually have a recipe to share! We don’t use the fresh pasta when making our mac and cheese but the dried g-free Trader Joe’s pasta.

Mmm! I think I’ll add some sliced chicken sausage to mine. That and a salad, and dinner is done! ?

Hi Shay
Do you keep appliances on your counter top? I would love to add an air fryer to our kitchen but afraid it would take too much counter space. Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you
Mix and Match Mama says
Hmmm…it depends. We have a place for our air fryer that’s up in cabinet, but honestly, since we use it once or twice a day, we keep it out most of the time.
