You guys, it’s almost time for Easter which means…it’s time for PEEPS! One of our VERY favorite Easter recipes is my BUTTERY PEEP BARS!
I don’t even love Peeps, but I love, love, love these delicious little bars. They slice like a brownie, but they’re buttery like a shortbread cookie with a hint of pink and creamy goodness from our Peeps. I’m telling you, these are GAME CHANGERS! You will be obsessed!
Here is the recipe and updated printable recipe card. Enjoy! xx

Buttery Peep Bars
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Cook Time: 30 minutes
- Total Time: 40 minutes
- Yield: about 1 dozen bars 1x
Description
These bars are going to rock your world! Even if you don’t love Peeps, you will LOVE this yummy dessert!
Ingredients
- 1 cup of butter
- 3/4 cup of white chocolate chips
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups of sugar
- 2 cups flour
- pinch of salt
- 1 package of Peeps (I used 15 Peeps)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease (I used Pam) a 9×13 baking dish. Set aside.
- In a microwavable bowl, melt your butter and white chocolate chips together stopping to stir every 30 seconds. Once melted, set aside to cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, beat your eggs with your sugar. Next, beat in your melted white chocolate/butter mixture. Then, beat in your flour followed by your salt. (Try not to over-mix the batter. Just beat until everything is incorporated.)
- Pour half of this mixture down into your prepared baking dish, and then place your Peeps on top.
- Next, pour the other half down over your peeps (the batter is thick, so I dolloped it on and then smoothed it around with my spatula).
- Pop this in the oven and bake about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
- Remove bars from oven and cool just slightly before enjoying.
Notes
Use whichever Peeps you love!
Here’s a picture of what mine looked like before I added the second layer of batter…
…I promise you friends, you will be making these on repeat!
Happy (almost!) Easter!

I’m not sure if I missed it but what is the oven temp?
Mix and Match Mama says
Whoops! I’ve corrected that!

If I need this and don’t have peeps, how many mini marshmallows do you think I need? Half a bag?
Mix and Match Mama says
Or more? Add them across and see what you think. It doesn’t need to completely cover it, but I would have a nice layer.

These look cute and fun!

Have you made these as GF? If yes, what brand flour do you suggest? Our aunt is gluten intolerant and I always try to make desserts that she can eat at our family meals. I’ve not had the best of luck with some of the GF flours! 😩
Thanks!

We have!! We now only use Namaste gf all purpose flour. It works out beautifully 99% of the time!

Would these be okay to make the day before to have on Easter? Or would they better if made the day of?
Mix and Match Mama says
Absolutely!!
