Last night, the Shull four went on our first double date night. First, we went to Downtown McKinney for dinner…
We stopped on the courthouse steps to play a second before walking across the street.
Then we ate a delicious dinner at one of our favorite places, Square Burger. Kensington LOVED her spaghetti.
This little guy loved his dinner too.
After dinner, we ran home and gave the kids a bath, and we all put on our comfy clothes to head to the movie theater. This was Smith’s first movie, so we picked a boy flick…Cars 2.
So excited to see a movie and eat some gummy candy.
Kensington didn’t quite weigh enough to keep her seat down…she kept folding up like an accordion :).
Ready for the movie (I must have caught K mid-blink…it was dark in the theater :)).
Smith LOVED the movie! He sat in Andrew’s lap and didn’t budge. Kensington (who has seen at least 10 movies in the theater) was bored with Cars 2. No princesses, no castles, no girly dresses, no thank you! After the movie, we hit Starbucks for a treat. My kids love the Vanilla Bean drinks (no coffee…it’s pretty much a milkshake).
The first of many, many Shull date nights.

So. Much. Fun. America rocks. I'm beyond jealous.
Germans think it is improper to bring children to a restaurant for dinner, so I cannot imagine the looks we would get if we took our kids to a movie theater in the (gasp) EVENING!
Children's movies only play in the theaters one time a day (in the early afternoon). I think it's a plot to keep small children (who nap in the early afternoon) out of the theaters completely. 🙂

Next time you go to the movies… look for the booster seats. They have velcro on the bottom and they keep the seat from folding in and the kids sit up a little higher… They are usually right outside the door (inside the theaters). 😉
