Fabulous Friday!

It’s Friday!!  I have a lot of fabulous things to share with you today (a little bit of randomness but fabulous nonetheless!).
I told you that I was on a holiday creamer taste-testing mission, so here are my thoughts: Pumpkin Spice is still just as yummy this season as in seasons past, Spiced Latte tastes a lot like the Egg Nog creamer they had last year (same stuff, new name?), and I have not been brave enough to try Vanilla Heat…if you have tried it, let me know what you think!
I read about this night cream last month in Good Housekeeping.  It won Good Housekeeping’s Best Night Cream Award.  I was intrigued because it comes from Target and only cost $21, so I bought some.  If I’m being honest, I usually spend quite a bit more than that on night cream but the fact that Good Housekeeping loved it so much, I thought it was worth checking out…and after 4 weeks of using it, I am in love!  This night cream is thick, which I like during the fall and winter months, and I really feel like I can tell a nice difference.  Plus, it’s so much less expensive than other brands.  Pretty fabulous!
A few weeks ago, I bought two different shades of Bare Minerals Jack of All Trades lip balm and LOVE them! It’s like a chap stick but with nice color to it.  I like to wear some kind of light lip balm to the gym, by the pool, etc., and this has been working out beautifully.  It comes in 5 different shades and so far, I’ve bought Baby Doll and Sure Thing.  It’s light and keeps my lips feeling hydrated.
I read about the Glo teeth whitening gel in a magazine too.  Because I drink so much coffee, I’m always whitening my teeth to make sure I’m offsetting the coffee stains…that being said, teeth whitening really makes my teeth and gums sensitive and I absolutely hate doing it.  I’ve tried professional whitening, Crest White Strips, and other drug store varieties but my teeth always hurt.  The article said that this gel will whiten teeth without any sensitivity.  All you do is apply the gel twice a day for two weeks…so, I bought it online, I started using it and could tell a real difference after only 3 days.  I’ve officially used it 2 weeks and love, love, love this brand!  My teeth never hurt and were never sensitive.  Read all about it here.  I’m a believer!
At dinner on Monday night, it was the battle of two great teams.  One wore a Sox shirt to dinner and the other a Yankee shirt…one team has the best record and baseball and one doesn’t…I wonder which is which???
I’m just sayin’…that’s pretty fabulous!
Everyone has been so sweet about my GMT appearance last week!  I had a lot of questions about my outfit, so here you go…I’ll break it down…

I posted this pic on Instagram Saturday of my leopard booties and shared my leopard love with all of you…and geez Louise, you people are in love with leopard too!  I bought these booties 3 seasons ago, so they’re not in stock any longer but don’t cry, I have other leopard options for you…

Ahhh…lots of leopard love :).  Click here to see all of these leopard shoes plus a few other options.  You’re welcome ;).

And for my complete guide to boots, click here to see my boot post from Tuesday!  (Plus, it’s triple-point time you Nordstrom card holders…you know what that means…SHOP!).

My photographer friend Narci is now not only posting her clients’ photos on her site but great tips and ideas for at home photography.  That’s right people…she’s telling her secrets so that you can take great pictures at home.  She’s pretty fabulous, right?!?!  Click here to check her out!
I love how I’m not the only obsessed with all thing Fall!  Leah from Simply Made with Love sent me this monogrammed coffee sleeve…and let me tell you, my Pumpkin Spice Latte has never looked so good :)!  Wouldn’t these make great holiday gifts?  So fun!

Your outfit on GMT was super cute, thanks for breaking it down! I've been on the lookout for a good bleaching alternative, sounds like you found it. Have a great weekend!

After I saw the coffee creamer pic you posted on Instagram I ran to Target and bought the Vanilla Heat and Spiced Latte. I was not a fan of Vanilla Heat. I actually took one sip and poured out my coffee 馃檨 Spiced Latte is OK but not delish… in my opinion.

Love, love, love! Thank you for the mention, friend! I am all over that lip balm! Can't wait to check it out!

  • Tamara @ The Workout Mama September 20, 2013 at 1:57 pm

Thats great to know the teeth whitener doesn't hurt your teeth. Mine are always hurting when I use the crest strips. I will have to check these out.

  • Kara September 20, 2013 at 2:27 pm

Super intrigued by a whitening option that won't kill my sensitive teeth. I've wasted too much money on white strips thinking I could tough it out 馃檨 I'll have to give this a try! And I'm asking for leopard flats for my birthday! Love me some leopard 馃檪

For all of you Yankee haters.

I will say that even though I am a devote Yankee fan, I will always cheer for the Red Sox over the Rangers.

OK, lets talk about #7 make up for a second… I am from England, and it's just a common drug store brand, AND IT'S FABULOUS!!!! have you tried their revitalising serum, seriously, best ever, i always wore this brand then i moved to Canada, and couldn't get it.. then they brought it here, my heart was happy all over again! i used to spend ALOT on moisturising creams, but this line is amazing!

HI Shay – First of all, i love your blog, your family is adorable, and one of these days I'm going to attempt to make your Meatball Sliders and Pasta w/Corn and Bacon! *Drool*

Anyway, i tried the Vanilla Heat coffee creamer and it's…hmm..interesting. lol Definitely tastes like vanilla but there is this kick to it that just throws me off! I'll stick to my usual Pumpkin Spice or Caramel Macchiato.

    Enjoy your weekend!

I have never been a night cream wearer. Maybe it's time to try! And you'll have to give me like 2.5 more years before I try leopard print flats. I'm sure I'll get around to them right as they're going out of style…

  • Karen Stopnicki September 20, 2013 at 7:29 pm

Love, love, love the Boots line. I will try the night cream for sure. They have a sensitive line that is great AND the best make up remover wipes. I'll definitely check out the other goodies you mention.

  • Jenna {Real Simple Girl} September 20, 2013 at 10:03 pm

I love so many things about this post!! I ran out during my lunch break and bought the night cream (I've been looking for a good one for a while), the lip balm, and I would've bought the Pumpkin Spice coffee creamer, but Target was out of it. I really want to try the teeth whitener, too! P.S. The "Battle of the Boys" picture is just too cute!!!

  • Rachel Brown September 21, 2013 at 1:41 pm

Love your Fabulous Friday post! Thanks for sharing a few of your favorite things. I like the Pumpkin Spice creamer a lot and the Vanilla Heat is okay, it's like vanilla with a little spicy after taste. Not my fav, wouldn't buy again.

  • Chantal September 26, 2013 at 3:28 pm

I've been using & LOVE the night cream!!! What ab an eye cream? Have you found one that you would recommend that's not outrageously priced??? Love your tried & true suggestions!!!
