I’m not going to lie…I have a baked burrito obsession. They’re just so simple to make, you can fill them with so much yummy goodness and my family can’t get enough of them.
We made these Pizza Burritos with ground beef and whole wheat tortillas but you could totally substitute ground turkey and flour tortillas or you could skip the ground meat all together and just use extra pepperoni (or go nuts and make yours a veggie burrito instead).
Mix and match these with your favorite pizza toppings. Your family will be obsessed too!
This recipe makes about 4 large burritos.
1 pound ground beef (or turkey)
2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
1 (14 oz) jar of pizza sauce
1/4 pound or so of pepperoni slices (we used turkey pepperoni)
1 1/2 cups Italian Cheese Blend, shredded
Large burrito size tortillas (the package will say burrito size and we used whole wheat)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a large skillet over medium high heat, brown your ground beef. Once brown, reduce heat to low and stir in your Italian seasoning and pizza sauce and simmer about 5 more minutes.
Meanwhile, line a baking sheet with foil (for easy cleanup!), lightly spray it with Pam and lay out 4 tortillas. Top each tortilla with some of your pizza mixture, then layer on cheese and sliced pepperoni. Fold burrito style (fold in the ends first, then fold over the two sides) and place on the baking sheet seam side down.
Bake about 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
Serve and enjoy!
For another fun burrito…don’t forget to try my BBQ Chicken and Corn Burritos too!
I hope you love burrito night as much as we do!
