2 tablespoons chili powder or taco seasoning
a little salt and pepper
4 slices of Monterey Jack Cheese
Salsa to drizzle on each burger
Sliced avocado
Deli sliced jalapenos to garnish
Chopped green onion to garnish
Burger Buns
This makes enough for 4 quarter pound burgers.
Preheat your outdoor grill or indoor grill pan to medium-high.
In a mixing bowl, combine your ground beef with your chili powder and a pinch or two of salt and pepper. Divide meat into four sections and make four patties.
Grill the burger patties 6 to 8 minutes per side or until it’s done to your likeness. Add one slice of cheese to each burger about a minute before you pull them off the grill.
Remove burger patties from grill and add to bun. Top each patty with a little salsa, a piece of avocado, some jalapenos and green onions.
That’s it! Such a fun twist on a traditional burger…and super simple too!
Happy Friday!!

Do you have any tips for picking good avocados?! I always get them too early and can't wait more than a couple days and still cut them too early.

These were the perfect summer meal! I added in some fresh jalapenos, onions, cilantro and grated cheese to the ground beef and then topped them with homemade guac and they were incredible! Thanks for the inspiration 🙂 Your recipes never fail!
