I was really happy to make these and even happier to eat them. We are lemon people. This is lemon season. You should enjoy a batch of these today.
Happy eating friends!
Shopping List
1 box of lemon cake mix
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup milk
1 egg
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease (I use Pam) a 9×13 baking dish. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the lemon cake mix, oil, milk and egg with an electric mixer. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until the edges are lightly brown and the center is set.
Remove from oven and allow to cool.
To make the glaze, whisk together your powdered sugar with your lemon juice in a small bowl. Add more sugar if it’s too thin and more lemon juice if it’s too thick. Drizzle glaze over cooled bars.
Bar #42 just might be my favorite. Perfection.

If they're anywhere near as good as your strawberry brownies, these will be fabulous!!!

My husband runs the Visiting Clubhouse for the Rangers and he needed a couple desserts ASAP for the Marlins. Sooo I looked to your blog for a little help. I made the SUPER PICKY baseball players these Lemon Brownies and your Coconut Macaroons and guess what? They tore them up. Thanks for the help! Can't wait to try more out on the upcoming teams!

These are so good! Made them with 2 eggs, and added zest of one lemon to the batter.
