February Pin-spired!

It’s Pin-spired!  Woohoo!
It’s been several months since I’ve done a Pin-spired.  We didn’t have one in December and then in January, we were in China…so needless to say, I am excited to be back with Sheaffer and Mel and linking up with you ladies today.
If you’re new, you’re probably thinking “what the heck is Pin-spired?”????  That’s when we take an inspiration from Pinterest and recreate it ourselves.  Honestly, how did we get dressed/decorate for a holiday/make dinner/find a good travel destination/see encouraging quotes/find great hair styles and such before Pinterest???  It is hands down my favorite form of social media.
If you’re not following me on Pinterest, you should.  I have so many fun boards for you to look through.  Click here to see me on Pinterest.  Here are a few boards of mine…

So, how did I get Pin-spired this month???

For the weather.

North Texas weather is C-R-A-Z-Y.  It can be 80 degrees one day and 20 the very next (hello, allergy problems!).  Our temperature swing is just nuts…especially in the winter (we don’t swing in the summer…we stay at a cool 101 for about 3 straight months…sigh.).

So, this month, I dressed for rain, cold or mild…

In the rain, I’m wearing…

Ahhh! There is nothing better for rainy days than Hunter Wellies.  Nothing. Period. They are the best.  I saw how on Pinterest the red Wellies were paired with grey, so I brought out my grey scarf and did the same over my black jacket.

For Wellie sizing, if you’re a half size, go down.

In the cold, I’m wearing…

My grandmother bought me this leather jacket when I was 19 (14 years ago!) and I still wear it all.the.time.  I love leather because it never goes out of style :).  When it’s cold this month, I’ll be wearing my leather jacket and a chunky knit scarf (and probably stripes…I’m always wearing stripes…or plaid…).

When it’s mild, I’m wearing…

Ahhh…stripes and a military jacket.  This is like my favorite combination.  Ever.

There was a lot of Pinterest inspiration for this look…

So, if the weather is mild for you this February, maybe you can wear some stripes and a military jacket too?

So, there you have it!  I’ve been Pin-spired this month!  If you’ve been Pin-spired too, don’t forget to link up below.  We love seeing how you ladies use Pinterest for inspiration.

What type of socks do you wear with your booties? I love them but don't want my socks showing out the top.
