I get asked all the time about good recipes to prepare for people to take to go. You know…like meals to take to someone who just had a baby, who just moved, someone who experienced a loss or just needs a little help. So, today, I thought I’d share my favorite recipes to make when I need to take :).
Depending on the situation, sometimes I take the meal hot right at dinnertime…or sometimes, I take it over uncooked earlier in the day with heating instructions. Either way you do it, as long as you leave a little note with your meal that includes heating instructions, your recipient will love their supper (and you’ll love how simple it they are to assemble!).
(a vegetarian option!)
(made in the slow cooker!)
If you prepare your recipe in the morning and plan on it being refrigerated prior to your friend eating it, then make sure it comes to room temp before you cover and put it in the fridge. I always put my suppers in those disposable pans so that my friends don’t have to worry about giving me my dish back.
Take them one of these recipes and then round it out with a bagged salad and some rolls and your friends and family will feel so blessed by your gift of supper :).
Happy Friday friends!
