Y’all! This recipe was so much fun to make and so stinkin’ yummy to eat!
For lunch one day, I decided to make my kids Pizza Waffles…waffle batter with pizza goodness baked inside. Then, we topped our waffles with pizza sauce and oh my! Delish! Not only was it tasty, but it was just fun. My kids got a kick out of eating their waffles that tasted just like pizza. I’m telling you…if you need a quick supper tonight, Pizza Waffles should be your go-to.
Enjoy!
This recipe will yield enough batter for four big Belgian waffles or 8 smaller waffles.

Preheat your waffle iron. Lightly spray with cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar with a whisk. In a second large mixing bowl, combine the milk and egg.
Slowly whisk the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Combine but do not over mix. Stir in your favorite pizza toppings along with your Italian seasoning blend. We used pepperoni, mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
Ladle batter into hot waffle iron and bake to your liking.

Shay, what a great idea! What kind of waffle iron do you use? I have one that's about 15 years old and is super difficult to clean.
