A four ingredient Strawberry Cobbler…because it’s summer and I don’t like to complicate things.
This recipe serves 6 to 8 adults. You do not make the cake mix. You sprinkle it on the cobbler dry straight from the package.
Shopping List
1 (10 oz) package of frozen sliced strawberries (not the sweetened kind and do not thaw)
1 (21 oz) can of strawberry pie filling
1 yellow cake mix
1 stick butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease (I used Pam) a 9×13 baking dish.
Spread your frozen strawberries across the bottom of your baking dish and then spoon your pie filling on top. Next, sprinkle over the box of dry cake mix. Finally, drizzle the melted butter over everything.
Bake uncovered 55-60 minutes.
Remove from oven and serve immediately (with a little ice cream if you so desire).
Easy desserts for those summer nights.
Enjoy!

I LOVE cobbler. Especially with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top! I don’t think I’ve ever had strawberry cobbler, so I’m obviously going to need to give this one a try. I owe it to the cobbler. 😉

In Tennessee, we call this Dump Cake! You dump everything into the pan and then you bake it! I mostly use apple pie filling, but I’ll have to try it with strawberries! Make it even more sinful by sprinkling some sugar on top of the butter before you bake it!

I love this concept but would like to make it in a square (8×8) pan… Could I just halve the recipe, or is there some other formula for using a different size pan? Thanks!

Oh for this one, you can easily switch the pan size! You just might need to cook it a minute more. Just proceed with the directions in your 8×8.

It’s fresh strawberry season here where I am, I presume it’s ok to substitute the frozen for fresh?

Would this work with a white cake mix too? I ask because I happen to have it in my pantry and I need to use it. It looks sooooooo good!

The strawberries for this yummy cobbler are first cooked with sugar, water, and cornstarch. This thick and fruity filling is poured into a 2-quart baking dish and topped with great dollops of sweet baking powder dough. Just before the cobbler finishes baking, it s brushed with a brown sugar streusel.
