I see festive dipped waffle cones all over Pinterest, so I thought I’d whip some up myself. This isn’t even a recipe…just a reminder to melt some chocolate (or almond bark!) and dip some cones yourself. This is such an easy little party idea…and bonus, they’re delicious too!!
All you need are waffle cones, vanilla almond bark or chocolate (I used almond bark found right there on the chocolate chip aisle!), and fun sprinkles.
Easy as that!
I placed 4 (2 oz) squares of the vanilla almond bark in a microwavable bowl and melted it for about 2 minutes, stopping every 30 seconds to stir.
Once it is melted, work quickly to dip the top parts of your cone in the melted chocolate and then sprinkle on your fun little bits. I sat each cone upright in a glass to dry (because laying them down would have smudged the backside of the wet cone).
The cones were dry and ready to use for ice cream after only 10 minutes.
The leftover cones were stored in a gallon-sized baggie in my pantry until they were eaten.
Easy!
Melt your chocolate, dip, sprinkle and dry!
Enjoy! xo

Dipped ice cream cones are such a great way to make an everyday ice cream cone more exciting! I dunno why I’ve never thought of making my own, because though I always spend a little extra to get them at ice cream stores!

I always go with the dipped waffle cone at the ice cream shop and I feel silly saying this, but I’ve never thought about making them at home. Love this idea and love that it’s a recipe kids can easily help with.

Amazon! Hobby Lobby also has a nice sprinkle selection around holiday times too!
