Here’s the thing about peaches…when they’re good, they’re good. When they’re out of season, they taste like nothing. June and July are the best times to buy peaches here in North Texas, so I am making peach everything…because y’all, they are so good right now. I’m buying them in bulk and making more freezer jam than you could believe (we had to buy a big freezer just for all of my jam!). I’m also making any and everything that has fresh peaches in it…like these little trifles. Easy, easy, easy…and pretty too 🙂 . Whether you make it for your little fam or for a party, everyone will love these Fresh Peach Trifles!
This recipe makes one big trifle or about 8 in a small jar.
Shopping List
1 angel food cake (either store bought or homemade), torn into big chunks
1 (5 oz) box of instant vanilla pudding
2 cups of milk (I used 2%)
2 cups of Cool Whip, plus more for garnish
5 peaches, chopped into pieces and a few sliced (I leave the skin on because I like the texture and color, but you could of course, cut it off)
First, tear your angel food cake into big chunks, set aside.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together your pudding and milk for about two minutes. After it starts to thicken up, whisk in your Cool Whip.
Next, sprinkle angel food cake pieces across the bottom of you individual serving dishes (or if you’re using a big trifle dish, sprinkle half of the angel food cake across the bottom) followed by some of your chopped peaches and then a dollop of your pudding mixture (or in a large trifle dish, spread half of your peaches across the layer of angel food cake followed by half of the pudding and then repeat with the second layer of cake followed by the second layer of peaches and pudding).
When you’re finished, you should have two layers of cake, two layers of peaches and two layers of pudding. Finish everything off with another dollop of Cool Whip and a slice of peach.
Easy breezy and very summery!
Happy peach season, friends!

This is the perfect way to use up the waaay too many peaches I have at home right now! I always seem to overstock on them when they’re in season, haha! 🙂
