Friends, this isn’t even a recipe, this is just an idea!
We love to buy fresh green beans to have as a side dish with pretty much any entree. We typically roast them in the oven, but the other night, I decided to lightly crispy them up in the air fryer instead. They were delicious!!! We, of course, used gluten-free flour, but you use whatever flour you have on hand. I added a little pinch of crushed red chili flakes to ours, but you can add a lot if your family really tolerates the heat (or omit it if you prefer!).
This is all you do:
#1: I put all of my green beans in a mixing bowl and poured just a little bit of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) down on top. I gave it a good toss to lightly coat all of the beans and then set the bowl aside.
#2: In a second smaller bowl, I added in a few tablespoons of flour, a pinch of salt and pepper and then a pinch of crushed red chili flakes. I gave this mixture a toss (if you have a ton of green beans, make more, if you’re only portioning out for two people, use less. You can eye-ball this!). I sprinkled this flour mixture over my green beans, tossed them all and then placed them in my air fryer.
#3: I “fried” them at 370 degrees for about 15 minutes. I removed them and served.
Easy as that 🙂 . Just another easy way to serve your fam veggies tonight! xo
