Description
Between school and sports, we need easy and yummy family dinners that won’t take me long to prepare. Tonight, try whipping up my easy CHEESEBURGER PASTA! Loads of flavor, super simple! Bonus, I’ve made this both in the slow cooker and on the stove top and either way works just fine!
Ingredients
- 2 pounds of ground beef
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO)
- 1 red onion, chopped (reserve some for garnish)
- salt and pepper
- 1 (1 oz) packet of dry Ranch seasoning (do not prepare, keep it dry)
- 1 (14 oz) can of diced tomatoes, do not drain
- 1 (6 oz) can of tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon spicy mustard
- 1 pound of cooked and ready to eat pasta (we use gluten-free)
- shredded cheddar cheese to garnish, optional
- chopped dill pickles to garnish, optional
Instructions
If you’re making this in the SLOW COOKER:
- Brown your ground beef over medium-high heat in a drizzle of EVOO until browned and crumbly. Add in your chopped red onion and a pinch of both salt and pepper. If not already, add this mixture to your slow cooker.
- Next stir in your Ranch seasoning packet (unprepared), tomatoes, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce and spicy mustard.
- Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours or high 3 hours.
- When you’re ready to enjoy, remove the slow cooker lid and stir in your one pound of cooked and ready to eat pasta. Ladle into bowls and garnish with a little of your remaining red onion, shredded cheddar and chopped dill pickles.
If you’re making this on the STOVE TOP:
- Brown your ground beef over medium-high heat in a drizzle of EVOO until browned and crumbly. Add in your chopped red onion and a pinch of both salt and pepper. Stir in your Ranch seasoning and allow the onions to get a little tender (about five minutes).
- Next, stir in your diced tomatoes, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce and mustard. Reduce heat to low and simmer about 10 minutes before ladling into bowls and serving with your garnishes.
Notes
You can either mix the pasta into the meat sauce or keep them separate and just add the meat sauce on top of the pasta. This is a great trick if you’re feeding your family at multiple times during the evening.

Curious how much you pay attention to grass-fed vs regular store ground beef? Wild caught salmon vs farm raised ect? So many rules that it is hard to keep up! 🙂

I try to only buy grass-fed beef, but I’m not nearly as picky about my salmon.
