You guys, my sweet bestie makes salmon bowls for her family all the time, so I decided it was time to make some for mine too!
This isn’t even a recipe today as much as it is “an idea”.
Cook your salmon (I have been using the air fryer but the grill or oven work well too!), and add it to some rice (we love heating up frozen rice!) and then top with whatever you love. As you can see here, I added a bit of slaw, some pico, a drizzle of ranch, some chopped green onions and avocado. Easy as that!
If you have a Trader Joe’s nearby, check out these items…
A little slaw…
…a little ranch…
…and then I love this pico along with all of these other spicy items for some heat.
We love Trader Joe’s frozen rice, but we also buy…
…frozen rice from Walmart too!
For my salmon, I rubbed each filet with some extra virgin olive oil, a bit of salt and pepper, a little of this…
…or whatever rub you love (it’s not even necessary!) and then I added them in batches to my air fryer for about 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
Easy as that!
Happy bowl building, friends! xx

You made a Tex-Mex salmon bowl which I haven’t even tried yet! I’ll do that next week when we have our salmon bowls. haha!

We’ve been on a major rice bowl kick at our house lately. So good, so easy, so versatile, and generally healthy! We love to switch up the protein – salmon, blackened chicken, meatballs, pulled pork, etc. Our usual toppings are some combination of broccoli, mushrooms, cucumber, avocado, panko. My favorite sauce to use is yum yum sauce 🙂

We had these for dinner last night. They were so tasty, we’ve decided to make them again next week. Thanks for the idea!

This ranch dressing from Trader Joes is my family’s favorite store bought dressing. I’ll be adding the salmon bowls to dinner this week. We will be at the ballfield 2 nights, but this will be so easy to put together when we get home. Thank you for sharing!
