Happy Thursday, friends!
‘Tis the time of year when I don’t visit my local Trader Joe’s very often. Come fall and holiday season, I’m there every week, but right now, I really stop by only every 3 or 4 weeks as needed for some staple items. This last week was such a week, so I thought I’d share with you what was in my cart.
It’s my April Staples!
Trader Joe’s is the place for me to buy greeting cards. I buy a few every single time I visit as they’re always super cute, colorful, original and well priced. Kensington had a friend in the hospital recently, and she enjoyed going through my TJ stack to find just the right cards to send to her. I just think they’re all oh so adorable!
This is perfect in my CHEESY RANCH TACOS .
Yes and YES! These are always in my cart. I add the sweet jalapenos on top of basically EVERYTHING I make from my EASY EGG SCRAMBLE to my tacos to burgers, geez I love them. I also love this mustard aioli when we grill burgers or sausages.
Ashby in particular is obsessed.
Trader Joe’s is my pickle place! Right now, they have the spicy pickles (I always stock up because they’re seasonal) and of course, I love the bread and butter ones on all of my burgers.
I buy both feta and mozzarella from Trader Joe’s for my salads! In particular, we use them for our GREEK SALAD and CAPRESE SALAD.
My favorite little indulgence. The Trader Joe’s variety are extra chocolatey. If you’re a milk chocolate fan, they come that way too!
I just bought this and have already used it this week! It’s a little smoky, a little sweet and a little spicy. I added it to salmon in my air fryer, and it worked really well.
Speaking of which…
…Sheaffer got me hooked on these individual frozen salmons. These are great for quick lunches or simple suppers. I just pop one in the air fryer, and it’s easy as that!
Sheaffer also got me hooked on…
…this chicken. Guess what though? I personally eat it cold. You guys, it’s DELICIOUS and makes such an easy lunch! When Mades had her field trip, I even turned mine into a sandwich. I buy this now every time I go just for my own lunch at home. It comes in other flavors, but Sheaffer has assured me (and I always do what Sheaffer tells me to) that this one is the very best.
Yes, yes! This is the best place for g-free burger buns.
We LOVE these for charcuterie boards! We also love…
…these too!
My kids love these as after school snacks as well as…
…these!
We really like this as an easy side dish!
I like to buy my butter at Trader Joe’s!
These are excellent on the grill!
I know I’ve said this many times before, but Trader Joe’s has the best frozen AND canned corn. Period. Stock up!
A must at our house!
And finally, all the things we love to keep our food spicy 🙂 . I love them all!
So, those are my April staples!
What have you been buying from Trader Joe’s recently? What am I missing?! Please share! xx
Sheaffer says
YES to the salmon and the chicken. And I love the garlic mustard aioli too. I’m going to have to try that salmon rub now. Sounds delish!

I’ve just discovered their vegan creamy dill dressing, and I cannot get enough of it! 🙂

It wasn’t love at first bite, but then!, their savory squares “vegan cheddar crackers with nuts and seeds” (Gluten free) won me over and I love them! They’re kind of like a gourmet cheez-it? I like them in the “artichoke and jalapeño” dip though not sure the dip is gluten free. I also love their “papadums” chickpea crips (gluten free) dipped in their mango chutney.

Their French butter is the closest we’ve ever had to what you get in Europe!
Bailey Morris says
The Mediterranean salad kit… (I think I eat two of these/week.) The sweet, dried mangoes. Soup dumplings, OMG. The Syrah soaked Toscano. Soyaki sauce. Aaaand now I’m hungry!

And now my list is longer! Thank YOU!!!
Bailey Morris says
Did you see an email from me a couple weeks back? May have been too personal of a question, but would looove your input.
Either way – grateful for you and creating a positive space on the web day after day. You go girl.
Mix and Match Mama says
I’ll have to go back and look!!
Amy says
I just recently tried the creamy dill dressing too. I don’t typically try vegan options but it’s so good! Springle Jangle is also on repeat over here.
Lindsey Buckmaster says
So how do you cook salmon in the air fryer?! I’m sure you’ve talked about this and I’ve missed it. Sounds yum and easy!
Mix and Match Mama says
On about 350 for 15 minutes is what we like (18 to 20 if you want it more well done).
Kelli Atkins says
Their patio chips! Should be on the shelves in May.
Mix and Match Mama says

The cream cheese stuffed little peppers in a jar!! Soooo good alone or on a salad. 🤤
And allll the pickles.
Mix and Match Mama says
Tell me more! Where are they located in the store?
Alison says
Ohh, that salmon is now on my list! I usually only grab a couple tried and true frozen items, so clearly I’ve missed seeing those individual salmon filets.
The individual packages of artichoke hearts are one of my favorite things to add to a salad and always something I throw in my basket/cart.

The French butter in the blue wrapper is Devine! So good on hot bread.
