Today, I’m sharing my yummy BANANA PECAN PROTEIN WAFFLES for your weekend!
This recipe was kind of a hybrid of me about to make another batch of my BANANA BLENDER MUFFINS and Smith asking me if we could add protein powder to them. I punted and made these (in the blender) instead, and we liked them so much that we’ve made them several times. I call these “protein” waffles because I add a scoop of vanilla protein to the batter. I’m not necessarily saying waffles are “healthy”, I’m just saying should you want to eat one with an extra bump of protein, here you go. Should you not love pecans, simply omit 🙂 .
We topped this batch pictured with cinnamon honey. I don’t even remember where we bought it (some trip), but it’s delish. Please feel free to add syrup to yours, keep it plain or google cinnamon honey to buy your own jar. No matter which way you top it, you’re going to love it.
Cheers to the weekend! xx

Description
This recipe was kind of a hybrid of me about to make another batch of my BANANA BLENDER MUFFINS and Smith asking me if we could add protein powder to them. Ingredients
- ½ a banana
- 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
- a pinch of cinnamon
- 1 egg
- ½ cup of your favorite pancake mix
- ½ cup of water
- about ½ cup of pecan pieces to add in plus reserve some to garnish
Instructions
- Place your first six ingredients in the blender and blend until combined. If it appears a little too dry, just add a bit more water.
- When the batter looks like the right consistency, take the lid off of your blender and stir in your pecans.
- Pour this batter right into your hot waffle iron and cook to your liking.
- Remove, garnish with honey or syrup, a few extra pecans and enjoy

Yum!! We love all the Kodiak protein mixes, so I’ll try using that. We make muffins with them all the time, but waffles will be fun!

Yum! What protein powder is your favorite?

Clean Simple Eats! I LOVE their protein powders! I have probably purchased at least 10 of the flavors. I haven’t tried one I don’t like.
