Infertility & Adoption

Are you struggling with fertility? Β If so, I am so, so, so sorry. Β I struggled with it too but have since been blessed with my three precious kiddos. Β Click here to read my story.

In January 2015, we adopted our precious Ashby from China and then in 2016, we went back and adopted sweet Madeley. Β To read all about our adoption process, click here.

    Thanks for sharing your story!!!

So glad that you shared your story/experience with us. A lot of people don't realize the troubles that some women go through to get pregnant. My mom went to multiple doctors when they were trying and all of them told her she would never get pregnant. It took her 8 years to have my brother and another 10 to have me. So glad they never gave up.

I just found your blog through a fellow infertility blogger. I'm at the end of my rope today with all things related to IVF. I'm in the thick of the struggle. Hearing success stories always give me hope…so thanks for sharing.

Thank you for sharing, I have two gorgeous boys and my husband and I have been trying for a third and what will probably be our las tchild as I turn 38 in December, after getting pregnant easily before I foolishly thought we would have no problems this time around. How wrong I have been, it is hard not to have it consuming my every waking hour, I feel I have to either accept we will have no other children and feel guilty for being greedy and wanting more. Your blog is inspiring and how brave you have been, I don't think I could have stayed as strong as you. It is comforting to hear your thoughts and how understanding you are about infertility. Keep blogging!

    Love Maria x

Can you tell us when you will be adopting your precious girl? Will it be sooner rather than later? What a blessing!

Can't wait to read more! πŸ™‚ I've been following adoption stories for awhile now, and those are probably some of my favorite blogs to read. I've never met a family who adopted, but have always wanted to thank wonderful families like yours for opening your hearts to kids who have never felt love. You and Andrew love your kids so much. This little girl of yours will be so lucky to be a part of your family. β™‘β™‘β™‘

Great site! We live in Lucas and are in the beginning of adopting from Bulgaria. What agency did you use? Thanks!

Hi Shay, thanks for sharing your story! You've helped open my eyes to the idea that it just hasn't been my time to get pregnant yet, but my time will come (hopefully SOON!)

I'll be following along now that I've discovered your blog!!

Hi Shay! Thank you for sharing your infertility story. You've reminded me that God does work in his own time, and I need to trust in his timing when it comes to my own struggles. Man is it hard to do though! Now that I've discovered your blog, I'll be following along. You are inspiring!

Hi Shay – my first time posting a comment, however i have been <> stalking your blog(s) since the S and C elephant ride ;o). I ran across an interesting blog post elsewhere today and wanted to share:

All my best as you continue to lovingly share your bountiful gifts from our Good Lord. — Janet (Cleveland)

Thank you for being so transparent on your blog! I just started reading it and I am hooked! We are so much alike. Also, I have told several of my friends to check it out and they love it too πŸ™‚ It truly speaks to my heart when you talk about adoption. You and your husband and your kids will (probably have) gain a different kind of love and understanding that others who have not adopted cannot understand, and that is such a blessing, and will shape Kensington and Smith into who God wants them to be as older people! I hope one day I am able to adopt a child too!

I recently discovered your blog and I am hooked. Also, getting my friends hooked too πŸ™‚ Thank you for being so transparent in your posts, especially about adoption. I hope I am able to adopt one day (sooner than later). I love reading about your family's experience with Ashby. She is precious and perfect πŸ™‚ God bless you!!

Hi Shay, I tagged you in a post on Instagram earlier that links to a friends adoption story. The James family is walking through the final stages of their adoption process this next week with their little boy who is due to be born in March 2016. If you could please keep this family in your prayers, it would be wonderful. They are an amazing family with a Christ centered home and are awaiting their baby boy anxiously. I know you can understand this as you walked through the same process with your sweet Ashby. I've attached the link to their website where you can read more about their family and their story of bringing their baby boy to his forever home. They could really use some prayers as they walk into next week. Brook is a worship pastor and Kara Kae is a full time mom working along side Brook in ministry and she created Thrive Mom's- a ministry devoted to encouraging women through their walk with God in motherhood. They are an inspiring family to say the least and they need prayer. I've been reading your blog for months now and I just felt you might be able to relate to their situation. God is good All the time!

I pray you and your family are enjoying this Holiday season and Ashby is loving experiencing all the Firsts with you all!
