Every time people ask us what her name is, they seem to always go “huh, what?”. So, I thought I’d explain. Andrew and I love all things British, so we knew we wanted our kids to have British names. Two years, while we were in London, we discovered this beautiful neighborhood called Kensington. We fell in love with the area and with the name. Frank Sinatra (someone else we love) also sings about a girl he loves who lives on Kensington Avenue in the song “The Girl Next Door”. We picked Kate because it’s also British and I love alliteration in names (like Shay Shull). So, that’s how Kensington’s name came to be. We have one more day in the hospital and then we can come home. We’re really excited about leaving and being at home together.
