My little girl is growing up so fast. She can now wear the little bows in her hair instead of the headband. She looks much older the minute I clip it in. At 8 months, here are some other signs that Kensington is becoming a big girl:
1. She drinks juice from a sippy cup…she laughs at herself when she gets a big mouthful and then spits it out on her clothes…mommy doesn’t laugh
2. She stands up constantly. I can’t keep her on the ground. It doesn’t matter if the object is stable or not…Kensington Kate wants to hold on and stand up.
3. She pays close attention when you sing to her. She gets really still and watches your mouth like she’s trying to learn the words too.
4. She waives hi and bye bye. Her daddy taught her this trick but it really hit home to me today when we were in line at Old Navy and a little girl waived to her…Kensington put her little hand in the air and waived right back.
5. She has been calling Andrew da-da for over a month but now when she’s upset, she screams ma-ma…that’s the only time I hear it…when she’s hurt, sad or mad…but she screams it and holds her hands out to me…I’ll take it.

Oh my goodness! Saying mama, saying dada, and waving?!? She is such a big girl! We aren't doing any of those things quite yet…but I certainly am looking forward to hearing "mama"! 🙂

I think Miller actually said "Daddy" before I got a "Mama!" I think Dada is easier!! 🙂

I'll attest to the fact that dada is easier and always said first, at least it was for both of mine. And I dream of a day when a can actually put a bow IN Olivia's hair instead of on a headband. Maybe by the time she's 18…
