Since my mom and I are single gals this week, we decided it would be fun to each have one kid for the day and night. Yesterday, I had my “Smith Day” and she had her “Kensington Day”. Smith suffers from that horrible syndrome called “I’m the second baby, so I don’t get nearly as much attention as my older sibling did”. My brother can relate. In fact, I think my brother would tell you that I’ve pretty much been an only child my entire life :). Before Smith Day kicked off, we got a very lovely visit from my dad’s two sisters and his mom plus my cousin’s daughter Gracie.
Gracie (4) and Kensington…they were both watching Flushed Away (where the story takes place in Kensington, England by the way), so they weren’t really smiling for me
Aren’t they sweet?! My cousin Laura is very, very old (I added that for her benefit :)), so we didn’t get to play together growing up, so I think it is really neat that our little girls are playing together now.
When Lovie and Kensington left, Smith and I worked on Kensington’s room. Jamie, who works for us, has a super talented wife that painted this table and chair set for me. Thank you so much Delphia!!
Now that the crib is gone, we had this huge open space in Kensington’s room (her room is pretty large), so Smith and I bought a rug and slowly but surely, we’re finishing her room up.
I hate the rails but you gotta do what you gotta do
My little man loved the one on one attention from Mommy
I collect books when I travel and cook books year around. I had been coveting this one book my mom had at her house. Yesterday, she brought her book over and gave it to me (which was more special than her just buying me one), and when I went to read it, I saw that she had inscribed it. I love you mama!

thanks for the comment. I'm trying to figure out which of Larry's Nuances I'm going ot have to put up with for the rest of my life! Oh and by the way….Andrew needs to get a gig with voice-overs
