I keep seeing easy turnover recipes on Pinterest like this one over at Shaken Together Life…I just love an easy dessert that I can assemble, make and eat all within 10 minutes. My hubby loves apple pie, so I made these with apple but of course, pumpkin, cherry, peach, pear, Nutella…there are many ways you could assemble this dessert. It’s a Mix and Match lovers dream.
Shopping List
1 can of Crescent Rolls (I used the new Crescent Rolls sheets instead of the actual triangle rolls but either will work)
1 (21 oz ) can of apple pie filling
1 cup of sugar
3 tablespoons of cinnamon
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
On a foil lined baking sheet lightly sprayed with Pam, roll out one can of crescent rolls and form the dough into one large rectangle (or if you’re using the Crescent roll sheets, they come out in one large rectangle). Take a knife and cut the dough into four squares.
In a small bowl, combine your sugar and cinnamon. Heavily sprinkle your sugar mixture over both sides of each square. Then take about 2 tablespoons of pie filling and place it on one end of each square. Fold the other end over the pie filling and press all sides down to keep filling inside. Sprinkle tops of each turnover with additional cinnamon sugar.
Bake about 9 minutes or until lightly brown all over.
Done! I just love making a quick dessert on a weeknight evening. It turns my regular TV watching into extra fun TV watching. Mix and Match these and make them your own. Love you all!

Hi shay! I made these and they were yummy but mine looked a lot more cinnamony than yours. Is it supposed to be 3 teaspoons?

It should be 3 tablespoons…but next time, you could always use a little less if you like :).
