Last year, I blogged about how my Peanut Butter Rice Krispies Treats were the first recipe I learned to make…when I was only eight.
I bet you thought I was exaggerating, right? Well…one of my very oldest friends Julie messaged me a few weeks ago and said her mom Kim was going through some of her old school work and look what she found…
Isn’t that funny?! How in the world her mom ended up with my little cookbook 23 years later is beyond me?! Julie was sweet enough to mail me the cookbook to keep. I told you I’ve been a foodie for a long time…I was mixing and matching years ago.
And yes, you should totally make my Peanut Butter Rice Krispies Treats...23 years later, they’re still fabulous and a staple recipe in my kitchen.
Thank you Julie and Kim!! XOXO

These are so good. My mother-in-law makes the exact same but melts 1 bag of chocolate chips and 1 bag of butterscotch chips together and puts it on top. They're delicious! And we call them "scotcheroos." You should try it!

I noticed the recipes are different, which one is correct? In your second grade book, it says 4 cups rice krispies and use a 13×9 pan and in your updated one it's 6 cups rice krispies and 8×8 pan?!?! Just want to make sure I do the right one b/c they look so yummy!
