I have a handful of recipes that are just so easy, they’re ridiculous. And this is one of them.
My mom makes this pie all the time because first of all, everyone loves it, and second of all, it’s just about the simplest thing you can make. It’s creamy, it’s fresh, it’s summertime on a plate…and it’s prepared in seconds. Go ahead and write my mama and thank you note…you will want to send her one.
Shopping List
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk, chilled
1 (12 oz) container Cool Whip, that’s been in the fridge (not freezer)
1 (6 oz) can frozen lemonade concentrate, keep frozen
1 pre-made graham cracker crust
In a bowl, combine the first 3 ingredients with a spoon. Pour into prepared pie shell. Keep in fridge until you’re ready to serve.
Did you see that recipe?! Seconds! And it is so delicious every single time it’s served!!
Thanks mom!

Do you think that a can of frozen limeade could be used instead of lemonade to give a key lime pie flavor?
Mix and Match Mama says
Of course! Mix and match it!!

Oh wow! That looks awesome! I am on a cleanse right now so everything looks amazing but this looks pretty awesome. I may try making it with homemade whipped cream instead of the cool whip in a few weeks. Thanks for sharing!

I plan on making this for my daughter's birthday bash next weekend. Can I prepare it early or should I mak it the day of? Will it last if I make it the day before and just leave it in the fridge? Thanks for the recipe Shay!
Mix and Match Mama says
Yes! Feel free to make it up to two days in advance and keep it covered in the fridge.

I made your pie a few days ago, refrigerated it for 3 hours, and tried to serve it for a luncheon. It didn't set though, so it was more like lemonade soup! Oh no! Totally still edible, only in a bowl. I popped the leftover "pie" into the freezer… 24 hours later, much better. Just a heads up for those planning ahead.

Made this yesterday…this was SO easy and SO yummy! I am going to use limeade next time to switch it up. Oh, I needed it to set quick so I stuck it in the freezer for about 2 hours and it was perfect for eating. Thanks for posting this and thank you mom for me!

I LOVE this pie! I've made it for years and in fact, my mom used to make it for me for my birthday instead of cake! It's my favorite pie of all time and I've been making it for 40 years! Boy, that's telling my age!

I just made your pie for dinner and had the same problem as another reader that commented on it not setting. I bought all the ingredients for the weekend but when I went to make it saw that you stated 12 oz cool whip, so I bought another cool whip and added half with a full 8 oz container. Now that I think about it did you mean to just add the small cool whip container that is 8 ounces? I think this would have made it firm.
Mix and Match Mama says
Wow! Lots of problems with my easiest recipe!! Ok. I think the main problem is that everyone is probably over-thawing their Cool Whip. It should be thawed but not melted. I am going to modify the recipe so that it says "not frozen" instead of thawed. This recipe is just so, so, so simple!

Oh I am going to use the mini graham cracker shells. Adorable!

I just made this and it was super yummy! It is very similar to my tang pie I make! You should totally try it out! It tastes like those pop up popsicles I had when I was a kid! You just add 8 oz of sour cream and tang…how ever much you want, with all the same ingredients in your pie except the lemonade part! 😉

I just made this pie. I used pink lemonade. I dumped everything into my crust. Got a little on my finger. Sucked it off and now I am convinced I just made THE best pie in all the land 🙂 easy as pie too!
