Bar #2: Chocolate Toffee

Hello Bar #2!
My absolute favorite candy bar is a Heath Bar.  I love toffee and I love chocolate.  If I’m going into a candy store, I’m getting toffee every.single.time.  I knew Bar #2 should be in honor of my toffee love affair.  These bars made me a happy girl :).
Shopping List
1 yellow cake mix
2 eggs
1/2 cup veggie oil
1 1/2 cups toffee candy pieces (I used Heath’s Toffee Bits found on the chocolate chip aisle)
1 (12 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease (I use Pam) a 13×9 baking dish.  Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, eggs and veggie oil with an electric mixer.  Stir in 1/2 cup of your toffee pieces.
Press 2/3 of your cake mixture into the bottom of your baking dish, set aside the other third.  Bake 15 minutes.
While it’s baking, combine Eagle Brand Milk, chocolate chips and remaining one cup of toffee bits in a small bowl.
Remove baking dish from oven after 15 minutes and pour your Eagle Brand Milk mixture down over the top.  Spread it out evenly.  Take the remaining 1/3 of your cake batter and sprinkle it out over the top of the dish.  (You won’t completely cover your pan with the extra cake batter…just dot it around the top).
Put the dish back in the oven and bake it another 25 more minutes.
After it’s finished baking, let it cool on the counter about 5 to 10 minutes before covering it and putting it in the fridge at least one hour before serving.
Slice chilled bars and serve.
I loved these bars.  Toffee perfection!
