And this bar just says Halloween, right? A chocolate bar with marshmallows and Halloween candy on top? The perfect little spooky treat! I found this recipe in my Gooseberry Patch Halloween Cookbook and just tweaked it a bit…I thought it needed candy corn. Every Halloween dessert needs candy corn!
Shopping List
1 box of chocolate cake mix
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup water
1 egg
3 cups mini marshmallows
1 cup fall colored M&Ms
1 cup candy corn
1/2 cup dry-roasted peanuts
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Grease (I use Pam) a 13×9 baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, butter, water and egg with an electric mixer. Press the batter into your greased pan and bake about 20 minutes (or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean).
Remove from oven and sprinkle your marshmallows, M&Ms, candy corn and peanuts over the top. Place back in the oven and let the marshmallows melt (about 2 or 3 minutes). Remove and cool completely before slicing and serving.
Someone snuck in on my photo shoot…wearing a candy corn bow and all :).

This looks very tasty! 🙂 I'm visiting from the Blue Eyed Bride, thank you for the Fall Favorite Package Giveaway! One of my fall favorites is my Essie "Forever Young" nail polish.
