Just found your blog a few weeks ago and am LOVING IT!!! Here's a pic of my kids, so super proud of their job assisting me in baking your Candy Corn Bundt Cake this past weekend: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10202289051087465&set=a.2095568988606.2129477.1226763231&type=1.
We're looking forward to making your ghoul-ash tonight–and tried your apple chicken meatballs, mashed sweet potatoes and apple pull-apart bread last week! Oh, and my husband loved your chicken and noodles in the slow cooker!!!
I used to love being creative with my cooking and baking and got out of my groove a bit with starting a business last year…but with your recipes, I can make delicious meals QUICKLY!!! Love that! Thanks for reigniting my domestic prowess!!! 🙂

Love how excited the kids are about their carved pumpkins! SO CUTE! And the tumbling unicorn? Precious.
p.s. I will call you at 5:00 a.m. tomorrow and sing Christmas carols.

I went into a store last night and I couldn't believe that there was one aisle of Halloween stuff and about 10 aisles of Christmas stuff. And last year on November 1 the city I work in had all of their street decorations up on November 1. Part of me loves it and part of me is like, already? (But mostly I love it)

DON'T keep your Christmas cheer in, bring it on!!!

Happy for you and your Red Sox…sad for me and my Cardinals. ;(

I think it's great to start celebrating Jesus' birthday early. Why not start the party music and put up the decorations?! Even though I know it gets commercialized, I tell my kiddos when we walk through stores that we can be reminded that all these pretty decorations and many Christmas songs are truly for the best birthday party ever!! 🙂
Danielle says
Go Sox!!! 13 is my lucky number too. Glad to hear I'm not the only one 🙂 Happy Halloween Shay!

Too funny…I was thinking the same thing about Christmas songs. 🙂

Congratulations on the Rangers winning the world series!!!! Oh wait…they didn't win? So confused because aren't you from Texas and nowhere near Boston???
Kidding, kidding, but from a bitter O's fan who actually cheers for her hometown team, we are excited to open our season next year vs the WS champs….and sure are hoping they look a little more presentable! 🙂
Hope you have a fun Halloween with your adorable children!

Girlfriend, I have been listening to Christmas music all week. I already put away all my pumpkins and have pulled out the Christmas stuff. It all goes up this weekend 🙂 ha!

The Christmas season always starts the day after Halloween for me. If your cable provider comes with all the music stations the "Sounds of the Season" one starts nonstop Christmas music every November 1. It's pretty much the best thing ever!

Hey, don't keep the Christmas cheer to minimum for my sake. Love it!!! We are going to our church's Trunk or Treat/Harvest Festival tonight with our little Cinderella and Gus Gus!
Leigh says
Go Sox!!!!! My husband is crazy excited the Red Sox winning! Hope you have a wonderful Halloween. We have a crazy storm moving through my town today so we were asked to postpone trick or treating until tomorrow. Oh well! Happy Halloween!

I thought of you when I heard that Boston won the World Series this morning while watching the Today Show. I just knew you were so excited!!!:)
The kids pumpkins turned out great! I love the classic jack-o-lanterns with scary faces. That's how we did ours this year.
And, I am SO with you on the Christmas countdown. I mean, tomorrow is November 1st!!! ONE month until Christmas! We will def be getting the Christmas cds asap (and have already watched a few Christmas movies!)

Don't forget the most important rule of all today…for every 1 piece of candy given out, you must eat 2 pieces yourself! Enjoy tonight with your kiddos!
Miranda says
Please do not hesitate to post all things Christmas! I went to Dollar Tree yesterday and dropped $19 on Christmas decorations, with tax that equaled out to about 18 different Christmas items…<3 it
Amy says
Ditto on the Christmas carols!!! I can't wait! Getting my kids' Christmas books out too.
Candice Kelley says
You and Smith have the same smile! Very sweet pictures!
P.S. I think you, your dad, and I may be some of the only Red Sox fans in Mckinney! GO SOX!! 🙂
Nicole says
I'm with you Shay. My kids actually said to me last night "mom are you getting your Christmas cds out for Friday" You betcha I am!! I love November 1st

The morning after the Red Sox won I heard it on my alarm radio, and I immediately thought of you and how excited you must have been!
I love their unique pumpkin faces!!! Too cute!

My favorite thing about your Halloween is Kensington's jack-o-lantern. That is AWESOME.
