I love, love, love finding ideas on Pinterest! It is hands-down, my favorite form of social media. When I saw this recipe for Sweet and Salty Oreos from Lemon Tree Dwelling, I knew it was a method I had to repeat.
I used the seasonal Candy Corn Oreos as my cookie but you can absolutely mix and match this any way you like! If it’s Christmas, use Christmas Oreos. If you love Golden Oreos, use them. If you love the classic Oreo, use them. If you love Peanut Butter Oreos, use them. Make this method your own! I know my family and I will be recreating these little treats with each and every season!
In the original method, Lemon Tree Dwelling used just peanuts but I knew my kiddos would prefer fun sprinkles…so, I did half and half. You do whatever you like!
Three ingredients and a whole lot of deliciousness!
Shopping List
1 package of your favorite Oreos (I used Candy Corn flavored Oreos)
1 (16 oz) package of white chocolate candy coating or almond bark
Chopped dry roasted peanuts or sprinkles (or both!)
Melt your candy coating according to the package directions. I melted mine in the microwave for about 2 minutes.
After you remove your melted chocolate from the microwave, immediately dunk an Oreo inside and using two forks, flip it around until it’s nice and coated. Set the coated Oreo on wax paper and sprinkle your topping on right away.
Repeat with the rest of your Oreos. Once the chocolate hardens, remove from the wax paper and enjoy!
So simple and so fun!

Cake Carousel on 75 in Richardson has all colors of melting chocolate for dipping things like oreos. If you like almond bark then you will think you've died and gone to heaven with the product they sell (in bags). They also sell lots of toppings for the holidays. You should check it out. Take the kids because they would be in heaven!
