The busyness of the holiday season might be behind us but there are lots of fresh foodie days ahead. I’ve switched out my pantry from apples, pumpkins, cinnamon and squash to bright greens like kale and spinach…lean meats like turkey and chicken, thrown in some lemon and other citrus fruits and we’re getting all settled into January. This month, let’s relax. Let’s enjoy the cold days and long nights. Let’s sit by the fire and read a book, let’s indulge in staying inside. My kitchen is full of soups, casseroles, slow cooker meals and simple desserts.
This winter, I’m going to be sharing my favorite smoothie recipes to jump start your healthy eating, my favorite soups that simmer all day, and the perfect Valentine’s Day desserts to make for the loves of your life. We’re going to relax after the busy holiday season and recover before Spring arrives. Settle in…it’s going to be a great winter.
