Kensington was sitting in my lap the other day and we were searching Pinterest for a great Valentine’s Day bar. As soon as she saw the Strawberry Brownies, she stopped me and said that was the one. And you know what? She was exactly right! So simple and so delicious! The perfect little Valentine’s Day treat!
Shopping List
1 box of strawberry cake mix
2 eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Grease (I used Pam) a 9×13 baking dish. Set aside.
Combine all 3 ingredients in a mixing bowl with a spoon (your batter will be thick).
Spread batter across the bottom of your prepared pan and bake about 14 minutes (or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean).
While the brownies are baking, prepare your glaze. Combine one cup of powdered sugar with a splash of milk. Add more milk if the glaze is too thick and more sugar if it’s too thin. Pour glaze down over the tops of your warm brownies. (Note, the glaze will absorb into the brownies after a while…that’s ok! They’ll be really delicious!)
Such a simple little brownie recipe! My sweethearts couldn’t get enough of this bar!
