It’s time to kick-off St. Patrick’s Day!
We love celebrating all things green around our house during the month of March. As simple as this little holiday is, it’s just another fun way to make the month special.
So easy and so yummy! Start your March with these yummy bars (and bonus…there are some M&Ms inside that frosting too…yes.).
Shopping List
1 box of white cake mix
1 small (3 oz) box of instant pistachio pudding mix (do not prepare, just use the powder)
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 egg
For the frosting:
1/2 cup butter, softened
3 cups powdered sugar
1-2 splashes of milk
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup M&Ms (I only used green ones)
Sprinkles to garnish
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease (I use Pam) a 9×13 baking dish. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine first 5 ingredients with an electric mixer. Pour batter into prepared baking dish and bake 12 to 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow bars to cool on the counter.
Once the bars are cool, start making your frosting. Beat your butter, powdered sugar and splash of milk with an electric mixer. If your frosting is too thin, add more sugar and if it’s too thick, add another splash of milk. Once frosting reaches the desired consistency, stir in your almond extract and M&Ms. Frost cooled bars with frosting and then add your sprinkles.
Refrigerate bars when you’re not eating them.
We just sorted through our M&M bag and added only green M&Ms for fun. You can totally add all of the colors of the rainbow if you want. Loved these bars. Love, love, loved them! They’re really moist and so yummy!
