Happy Monday! Last week, I posted all of my vacation pics and then my big end of vacation post on Friday, so there was no time for our Easter pics…better late than never, right?
This year, Easter snuck up on the Shulls! We came home from our vacation on Thursday, had two birthday parties and tee ball on Friday and Saturday and then there was Easter. Whew!
Here we are at lunch…
…we went to church together before this and then met my side of the family for lunch.
We don’t really talk about the Easter Bunny at all. We talk about Easter being the day that Christ rose again and really try to explain that message…but…when they saw him at lunch, they knew him and were excited to say hi! (And Smith did point out that he knew it wasn’t a real bunny because a real bunny doesn’t have a woman’s ponytail coming out of the back of the mask…).
Uncle Seanie and Aunt C saying hi to the bunny too!
My sweet Paisley. She was terrified of the Easter Bunny and sat in my lap telling me to protect her :).
After lunch, we headed back to my aunt and uncle’s house, changed clothes and let the kids open their baskets from Lovie and Papa Jay.
Ready for their egg hunt!
She was determined! She also didn’t want to take her Easter dress off!
Pushing. Shoving. Hitting. Typical Easter egg hunt stuff.
And we ended our afternoon in my aunt and uncle’s backyard…they have a fun play house too :).
Don’t forget, today is Meal Planning Monday!!
I have so many quick and simple recipes for you to make for your family this week. Click here to see my meal planning.
Have a great day everyone!

Great Easter pictures! We used to go to Chris's Great Aunt's house to hunt eggs…and she hid money in some of them, like SERIOUS money. I believe there's a picture of me gently shoving a small child out of the way. I mean what's a 3 year old going to do with $20 bucks?!? 🙂

Totally laughed that K wouldn't take off her dress but wasn't letting it hold her back in the hunt! True go getter! 🙂

As Christians, we don't have restrictions with when we do things. We enjoyed our Easter weekend and celebrated it for the amazing thing that it represents…Christ is risen!

Hi there and thanks for sharing your Easter pictures.
I was wondering if would share where your family purchased their playhouses, please. I live in CT and want to get one for my little girls and am wondering if they are custom made in Dallas or if there is a reputable website from which to order one.
Thank you and God Bless your precious family.

Haha Smith isn't going to let anything get past him. My parents didn't really talk about the Easter bunny either. But we knew he existed. Instead we did like y'all do..celebrate how wonderful it is to know we serve a risen Savior. Love that!

Hi! Do you only publish comments linked to accounts? I commented earlier asking about Catherine's dress but it didn't get posted.. I don't have any accounts so I posted as anonymous but left my name.

So cute… all of it! I love how your extended family always makes time to celebrate holidays and events together.
Curious… did you ever provide a link or details for your cute checked crossbody/shoulder bag?

My daughter, now 7, is SCARED TO DEATH of the Easter bunny. She saw it one day at the mall when she was about 2, and still talks about how that thing scares her so much!

Happy Easter! Senor Conejo is not on our radar either. Or, as Ella puts it, a rabbit who delivers eggs and chocolate? Who believes in that?! Meanwhile Santa is real because St Nicholas was a REAL MAN IN THE OLD DAYS. EVERYONE knows that. We're raising our kids right, friend. 🙂
