1 cup or so of red and blue M&Ms
red and blue sprinkles
I just picked red and blue M&Ms out of a large bag. You could skip the patriotic colors and just make these colorful too.
In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, oil, milk and egg with an electric mixer. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until the edges are lightly brown and the center is set.
Remove from oven and allow to cool.
Once the bars are cool, stir about half a cup of M&Ms and a good shake of sprinkles into your prepared frosting. Frost bars. Sprinkle on more M&Ms and more sprinkles on top.
Slice into bars and serve.
So simple and really yummy! The perfect little patriotic party bar :).

Made these with my three year old nephew for July 4th. Huge hit with the family and loved that it was easy enough to make while babysitting two little boys. Thanks!!

Do you think this recipe would still work with a yellow cake mix? I don't have access to buying white cake mix where I live. Thanks.
