On Sunday afternoon, Kensington had her ballet recital for the season. She was the cutest little clown I’ve ever seen!
She wanted to demonstrate some dance technique for me…
…that’s a mighty fine first position :).
After her performance, she was so excited to receive roses from her daddy! We were so proud of her!! She did so good!
Then, she posed for pictures with the family…first up, Uncle Seanie and Aunt Catherine…
…then a Shull four group picture…
…followed by a picture with PawPaw and Nanny (who came down from Missouri to visit us for the weekend!)…
…and finally, Papa Jay and Lovie.
We were so proud of her! After the recital, we all headed back to our house to hang out and grill supper.
It’s always such a calm and relaxing afternoon when Uncle Seanie is over…
And for grins, here is a picture I took on Friday afternoon when Kensington and I ran to the grocery store…doesn’t she look so old?!?! Where did my baby go????
And then on Saturday, Smith fell asleep on his mama. This was my 1,000th picture on Instagram and let me say, it sums up my life perfectly. I love my sweet kids so much.

So cute! Thanks for sharing!

She is so cute! Do Sean and Catherine get all kinds of attention when they are out and about or do people ignore them?
Also the little bit of the new house we can see looks really nice.

Honestly, her costume kills me! Too cute.
I made your fish tacos last night and I'm obsessed! They just tasted so fresh and summery. I feel like my summer is going to be filled with a LOT of tacos. But I'm good with that. 🙂
I am literally counting down the MINUTES until I can order my 2014 Erin Condren!

I thought that Christians were supposed to have a "day of rest" on Sunday. Like God did when he created the world. How come you go to activities on Sunday instead of using it as a day of worship & rest? Just curious.

What a great weekend!!! I love how supportive your family is of each other, and how involved you all are in each other's lives!!

Prettiest clown I've ever seen! Great first too! 😉 I can't imagine walking into my daughter's recital and seeing Sean and Catherine there too, ha! This reminds me, I need to jump on my daughter's recital post!
Mix and Match Mama says
The Bible teaches that we should remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy. We always attend church on Sunday mornings (like we did on this day before her 2:00 recital). However, thankfully, we are given grace through the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, therefore, we are called to live a life as close to the Bible as possible but we are forgiven when we fail. Grace saves us. Thank you Jesus! Attending church does not save us. It's simply a calling from God.

So a few things… 1. the clown outfit was seriously adorable. 2. I saw the picture of your in-laws and about had a mini heart attack. I work with your father in law! Small world!! I have been reading your blog for awhile now and am just now realizing this.

Could you tell me what the beige/neutral color is on your walls in the new house? I am looking for a good neutral color and I love that one.

Way to go, Kensington! Keep up the great dancing. Kensington's costume is so adorable. This post brings me back to my years in dance and all of the fun costumes we got to wear in our recitals. Shay, did you take dance classes when you were Kensington's age?
