Yay!  It’s Fri-day!
I’m linking up with my girls Narci, Andrea and Erika and sharing some of my Friday Favorites :).
On Tuesday night, my girlfriends and I had our annual scarf exchange!  
This is one of my very favorite traditions we do each year :).  
We treat this like a Christmas White Elephant exchange…we all bring a scarf in a wrapped bag, draw numbers, and then we open them one at at time.  You can either open a new bag or steal from someone else.  Once a scarf has been stolen twice, it’s frozen and cannot be stolen again.  Make sense?  We meet at Starbucks every year and combine our three favorite things…coffee, scarves and friends.  
Words cannot express how much I love these ladies.

Speaking of ladies that I love…last week, I woke up at my usual 4:30 am, got my coffee and realized our internet was down.  I called our provider and was told we were experiencing an area-wide outage.  So, I went back to sleep (if I have no internet, there’s not much I can do).  Apparently, I should have notified my friends that I would be sleeping in and not blogging that morning…

 When I woke up that morning, I laughed really hard. On top of these text messages, one of my friends (ahem Sheaffer) had also called me three times (I sleep with my phone on vibrate, so it didn’t wake me up).  The good news is that I ever do go missing, I know my girls will be looking for me really soon ;).

You ladies know I’m passionate about my skincare…well, earlier this summer, Erika started selling Rodan + Fields and even though I’m super into the products I love…I told her that when I ran out of what I had, I would try something from her.  Well, about a month ago, I ordered my first batch of stuff (the Redefine series) and I’m in love!  I am actually quite shocked by how much I love it!  I noticed yesterday that Erika has a new special going…
…so, I thought I would share it with you!  With every new Preferred Customer order right now, you get to select a free pair of Stella & Dot earrings!  Woohoo, right?!?!  Also…
…she’s giving away one of these fabulous necklaces (that I wear all the time!) to anyone who signs up to be a part of Erika’s team.  I know several of you ladies have emailed me about working from home…you should talk to Erika about it.  She is totally in love with her new job from home!
Lots of you wanted to know two things about this picture…where did I get the sign and where did I get her shoes?  Well, Andrea gave me the sign…but I found them on Etsy here and the shoes are here :).
I’ve finally updated Shay’s Closet across the top of my page (I forgot to do it in August!).  I added some things I’m loving right now for early fall…
I got so excited when I found this image on Pinterest!  Those are my booties that I told you about last month!  Don’t they look so cute here?!?!  

Booties, check.  Gingham shirt, check. September outfit, check.

The scarf in this picture reminded me of my very, very, very favorite scarf!  
This scarf comes in 27 different colors.  Yes.  Twenty-Seven!  I bought denim, khaki and red pop.
And speaking of scarves…sigh…last year, this scarf was all over Pinterest…
…and stupid me, didn’t buy it.  I was kicking myself after it sold out and even called Zara and asked them if they would be bringing it back this season and they said no.  Sigh.  I just love it.  So, my mission has been to find a similar scarf for this season and I think I have!  Look what I found…

I panicked yesterday and ordered both of them :).  I have a feeling you’re going to be seeing me wear them all fall :).
And today, my Buffalo Check shirt is back in stock at Gap!!  Eeeks!  It sold out so quickly last week, so if you want one, today is the day!

And remember last year when we all flipped out over Gap’s puffer vest?????
It’s baaaaaack!  Yup!  The puffer vest is back!  Last year, it sold out Thanksgiving weekend and was never re-stocked, so if you missed it last year, now is your time :).

    I remember what day your internet was down because I thought the same thing! " oh no she must be sick" " oh no, what if something happened in the middle of the night?" Yes. Were all crazy 🙂 but reading this addicting thing is the first thing I do before I get out of bed! I even kept refreshing to see if it was there yet… nope! Sooooo not shay like! 🙂

    Just goes to show how many people love you!

    Hi Shay. Happy Friday and weekend to the Shulls! I love your friends' reactions to your internet down situation earlier this week. How they love you! I was also wondering if you were okay, etc. that morning. I read your blogs first thing in the morning so I felt a bit discombobulated.

    Such a fun post! And yes…PLEASE TELL US when you plan on sleeping in. I was on the verge of a panic attack!!!! Zara is SO STUPID for not bringing that scarf back! We would ALL buy it!!! But the ones you've found are great too. Whew! Tragedy averted.

    Okay, those texts are so funny, but I'm sure they were not the only ones worried about you. I'm sure a lot of people were sending prayers your way that morning! Too funny!
    I just sent the favorite scarf link to my husband to put it on my Christmas list. I love the charcoal because you could wear it with so many cute solid colors like hot pink and pair it with charcoal jewelry. Going visit Erika for Rodan and Fields…now that I'm not pregnant anymore…woohoo!

    Love this post, those texts are pretty funny! I have been obsessed with that Zara scarf too and if you REALLY want it, you can find it on ebay. It is a little pricey so I haven't ordered it yet but it is so so cute that I might have to!

    I have the first of two scarf exchanges next weekend and I can't wait! Of course you can never have too many scarves, so I am heading to the Nordstrom site now to do more shopping 🙂
    And I was able to pick up the red puffer vest during the 40% off sale at Gap a couple of weeks ago! So excited for it to arrive and rock it this Fall and Winter 🙂

    I'd love to hear what specifically you love about the R+F products. I bought the redefine "kit" several months ago and don't see much difference between other prodcuts I use. I also got the Macro Exfoliator and I'm not sure it's doing anything. I know these products get rave reviews and I'm glad you're trying them.

    I feel your pain girl! I missed out on that scarf from Zara too and it was so cheap! Why did I not just buy it!???? I did buy it in the black watch tartan which is very pretty too. Green and black or blue I can't remember I'll need to get it from my scarf box to see. Love your picks here today! XOXO

    How do you do it all!? I imagine that if 430 was normal for me I would look like a total schlump on the daily. Awe-inspiring, you are.

    Maybe I need to squeeze some hours out of my day in the morning too. I could get so much more done…like having my house already decorated for the next season!! Have you always been so good at structuring your time?

    I get up each morning, go on my one-mile run and then come home, sit down and read your blog. It's the best way to get my day started and also to get more food ideas for the week! 🙂
