I love Halloween night!! Love, love, love it!!
After school, my kiddos will get their costumes on, we’ll get our candy in a big bowl by the front door and we’ll have an early dinner. After dinner, we always trick or treat in our neighborhood before going over to visit a few friends and trick or treat in their neighborhood too. Then, we come home and pass out candy the rest of the night at our house. This is just such a fun time of year!!
Growing up, my mom always made Ghoul-ash for Halloween supper. Always :). And now, I make it too. Here is a suggested menu for you and your ghosts and gobblins before you head out and then fill up on the sugary stuff.
Start off your evening with some yummy Spicy Corn Dip! Easy and delish!
Next, eat your greens with my Broccoli and Cranberry Salad. Broccoli is the favorite vegetable in our house…so it’s served a lot! I love a salad that doesn’t have lettuce (because it’s unexpected), so this one is perfect!
And then all you need is maybe some yummy cornbread and a big bowl of Ghoul-ash! It will be a frightfully delicious dinner before your trick or treating begins!
For dessert, you sort and snack on your favorite candy. For me, it’s Heath Toffee…I’m hoping my kids score a lot of that this Halloween night (and then, I’m hoping they share with their mama!).
